To have a chance each and every year beats trying to catch lightning in a bottle with a sloppy team development plan. I’ll stand by that.

Well this is the 9th year of the plan and Allen's 8th.

And I’m having a blast! Are you not enjoying these seasons? It will be that much better when it comes, like your mother told you when you were hungry but dinner wasn’t ready yet.

Ya gotta be in it to win it.

The Bills have been in it in 7 of Allen's 8 seasons.

The Bengals have been in it twice in Burrow's 5 seasons.

I think we could offer what they are hoping to get, but I don't think they would do it for us. Pretty sure they'd be willing to take just slightly less to get him out of the conference if they do indeed truly have to let him go.

He has played 7 seasons, and nobody expected too much early from a raw QB new to the league. Since then he’s been to two AFCCG’s, so I can be patient rather than being (imo) rash and emotional. I like our odds best on this path, despite those who disagree.

Yet they fired the guy responsible for Mahomes's second half collapse as the scapegoat for their failure at drafting defensive players.

Their defense will be demonstrably worse without Lou Anarumo and they were already a dumpster fire. #32 in the league, #30 at best.

The Bills have no cap space - the very least in the league. Theu bought their Hendrickson in the form of Bosa, and they’re just hoping/praying he remains healthy. Because when healthy, he’s definitely as good as Hendrickson.

The Bills cannot make this work given their cap situation. Plenty of teams can, though.

Bosa is not the pass rusher anymore  Hendrickson is. Career wise they are basically identical but not anymore.

Bosa has not had a double digit sack season since 21 and Hendrickson has had three since then and has had 17.5 each of the last two seasons.

buffalo will never trade for him but we do have his former defensive line coach on staff.

That’s kind of the point I was making about incompetence, they have an elite QB and a team good enough to make a SB, yet continue to miss the playoffs and maintain their reputation for boneheaded front office decision making.

They play in the same division as the Ravens

Our respective playoffs paths are not really comparable

So in addition to a likely high draft pick, the Bengals are reported to be looking for a player on defense. So it potentially would cost the Bills a pick and a player (that would likely add to the dead cap) in addition to paying Hendrickson a huge raise. For a player now on the wrong side of 30...I would pass.

The Bengals have a great QB and two great WRs.   They also have a crappy OL and a defense that struggles to stop opponents.   Their answer is to not pay their best pass rusher.   They're their own worst enemy.

I don't think they'll get it unless they significantly lower what they'll take for the draft pick and the player just before the trade deadline.

I'm saying their answers are significantly more complicated than ours in terms of making the playoffs and then competing for a Super Bowl

That’s a cop out, nobody is saying they should run the division with the Ravens in the way, but maybe win the division here or there, you have Joe Burrow for god’s sake… or maybe take a wildcard away from one of those juggernauts like the Broncos,Dolphins or Steelers.

It’s a garbage organization, always has been and won’t change until Mike Brown is no longer the owner.

Imho.

Massive mistake that will cost them.

That was a legitimate scapegoat firing imo and Anarumo was more vital to their success than Zac Taylor was imo.

Rousseau and a 2nd? Bosa and a first? Doubt the Bengals will trade him to a top AFC team.

Bosa has literally zero trade value.  Buffalo just signed him as a free agent.  If another team wanted him at that price point, they would have signed him.

Bengals might need to save face and have something to tell the fans. Bosa could be a “see we replaced him” move.
