After the draft there has been buzz that both Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson will not be signed after the season and 1 or both may be dealt. I really like Romeo Doubs who's a big body at 6'2" 201 lbs, he's not a blazer but runs solid routes and has decent hands. I like Christian Watson but he just can't stay healthy unfortunately but his 6'4" 208 lbs frame to go along with his 4.36 speed is enticing but Doubs would be the WR I trade for, I think a 4th probably lands him. He’s better enough that no one reasonable could even argue he ISN’T better. 
 

As for the consequences,, I would be 100% fine with not signing Josh Palmer and 2 more DL depth FAs who got popped for PEDS and are gonna miss 6 games and MAYBE missing out on Sander to have DK on the roster. Unequivocally.

 

Right now, could we package Palmer, Hoecht and Ogunjobi for a 2nd round pick? Of course not, because they aren’t nearly as valuable. But guess what? Their cap hit combined is MORE than DK’s this season lmao.

We don't but throw in a 4th or 5th round pick and the Bills could've easily had Metcalf.  Beane decided not to do that and if we don't win the Super Bowl with Allen it's one missed chance that I'll point to as as one of the main reasons why.

I get it now.  Lol.  Nobody is thinking that the Steelers would trade Metcalf after just trading for Metcalf.  We're wondering whether Beane screwed up in not outbidding the Steelers to get Metcalf.  I absolutely think he did.

Why only Beane though?  If this was such a blunder, then why couldn't Seattle get more than pic 52 and then they had to weaken that?  It's simple, the huge money, obviously. I know you understand this.  To act like that's not even a discussion, is childish. You wish we would have, fine.

I gladly would've given him the contract the Steelers gave him because Allen is in his prime and doesn't have a #1 WR that scares a defense.  I'm not the idiot that gave Hoecht, Palmer, and Ogunjobi what would've equated to what we pry would've paid Metcalf.

Speed was the missing element.

 

Moore lines up outside, he beats jams.  He is an excellent route runner.  He can run horizontal routes. Palmer is an excellent route runner as well. 

 

All of this is going to open up field, and create mismatches.  Dalton, Samuels,, Shakir and the Cook will all benefit

I doubt very much another WR of any significance gets added.

It will be a big competition for WR6 and 7 as it is.

Prather and a bunch of guys who couldn't stick on an NFL roster last year is a "big competition"?

 

 

Statistically Prather has maybe a 2% chance of becoming a good NFL WR.   The draft may be a "crap shoot" but teams are pretty good at identifying which WR's have a chance typically.   Rounds 1-4.  Shakir is an outlier in the round 5-7 range and he was there because he's a slot only.

 

 Shenault got released by Seattle in-season last year.   He is a one trick pony kick returner(only slightly above average) who doesn't return punts.  

 

After Moore......who was awful last year.......the subsequent guys are nothing but practice squad fodder.

Isn't Romeo Doubs some kind of dumb-dumb? Without looking it up, I vaguely recall some nonsense with him last season. Like potential football character stuff. No?
