No. I'm saying Nate Hackett could game plan 42 points against a banged up secondary when you have a Top 5 QB,

a two headed RB monster, the best O line in the league and a premier slot WR.

People need to re-think their "Ben Johnson Tiger Beat" membership because the guy is nothing special.

ok but they've done it all year. The Bills having a big lead took away their running game and other stuff they usually do.

McDermott’s replacement last year.

Make it happen.
Cool name, though.

His 0-2 record with the Bears is evidence of what exactly?

Ask his disciples.
He was working with the best Oline, premiere RB’s, two of the top 20 WR’s and Laporta. He would be able to save the Bills from the clutches of a coach who has made the playoffs 6 of last 7 years.

I never hailed Ben Johnson as the savior, but to think in two weeks we can say what he might have done here is a bit much. They still have a meddling QB, not the reigning MVP. It's a weird victory lap 8 months later is all, I mean, are we going to celebrate the failure of every new HC to validate our regime? I'm really happy with the way the season has started. Hopefully we can get actual validation in the form of a deeper playoff run vs a rookie head coaches 0-2 record.

I wanted the Bills to replace McDermott with him too. And maybe I will again. But the guy sounds like a grade A prick in the few interviews I've seen him give. Gives off Todd Haley vibes.

Yea his media management has to get better. It is Doug Marrone levels right now and that is gonna hurt you if you are not winning because the media will come after you even harder.

I know Johnson can call an offense, and they have been good early on script.

The two areas that remain to be seen are:

1. Coordinator hires - especially his DC hire with him being an offensive guy. The D lacks some pieces up front but to be this bad on the back end with the dudes they have is majorly concerning. Dennis Allen needs to get that turned around fast; and

2. Keeping a team together through 17 weeks. Its a rough start but they have the Cowboys, Raiders and Sainst as 3 of their next 4. If they can get to 3-3 the season is still alive. If they don't, watch out because from week 11 on their schedule really stiffens - Vikings, Eagles, Lions, 49ers and Packers twice are six of their last 8.

We are going to see whether he is really Head Coach material or just a coordinator playing at it.

Dude reminds me a lot of Josh McDaniel from what I've heard...his attitude, the rumors of how he thinks he is smarter than everyone and the way he is a D-Bag to everyone, etc...

Also both backed out of an agreement to coach a team at the last minute.

Takes someone with pretty low integrity to do something like that. Those teams dodged a bullet.

The problem is Caleb Williams. I think if there is anyone who can turn Caleb into a serviceable, borderline good, starter it will be Ben Johnson. I just don't know if Caleb will ever be coachable enough, have the right attitude, or put in the work it takes to succeed in the NFL. Personally, I don't think Caleb makes it through his 1st contract in Chicago.

It's not impetuous.

Even Veruca Salt knows we're hitting the back end of Josh's career.
