PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

I am in 111 and got a call last Friday from a Legends rep that was looking to dispel rumors and put my mind at ease.  I asked him what the policy was for deciding who gets a shot a Super Bowl tickets and he said it was a league policy and the Bills have no control over it.  When I asked what the policy is, he didn't know.  Not very transparent in my opinion.  Probably will end a run since '77, just doesn't make sense to be paying for the right to buy tickets until I'm 79 years old.

Super Bowl tickets have always been a lottery system. It was always based on seniority. My guess is it is a combination of seniority and spend but don’t know the exact formula. It’ll be weighted somehow but not sure exactly how.

I don’t know if it’s common knowledge but each team gets a substantial allotment of Super Bowl tickets whether they are in the game or not. I don’t remember the specifics but pretty sure that it’s at least 1,000. I reached out to a friend to confirm that number and will update once he responds. If you do the math though & 30 teams not participating account for 30k tickets, the league & it’s sponsors must be another 5k-10k. That leaves roughly 20k per participating team. By the time you address the internal needs / sponsors they probably have 15k seats available for a lottery of season ticket holders.

Yea, don’t quote me on numbers but I recall from the saints Super Bowl that each team gets like 1.5% of the inventory and the teams in the game get like 5% additional (those numbers are almost certainly off but at least vaguely in the ballpark)

Then the league gets a chunk, sponsors, media, the host city team received a bump up in their allotment, etc….

My buddy just texted me back. He works in a ticket office in the NFL. He said that he was at a meeting in January where they said that the participating teams get 4K-5K tickets. One of the last times his team was in the Super Bowl they had 11k so that’s way down. As a non participating team they have been getting about 650 tickets. So that math would say that roughly 30k tickets go to the teams.

For a 15 year old memory I’ll take it being more like .8 than 1.5 for the non participating team and pretty darn close on the participating ones.

I have zero recollection on the other percentages though. By the time you get through the million different allotments I think adds up fast.

I'm having some entertainment at my house, no guarantees it'll be good entertainment but if you and everyone else invited pays my mortgage, buys the food, the drinks, and pays a fee for the opportunity to pay the entry fee you're welcome to stop by.

oh i almost forgot, theres interruptions by people making only wrong interpretations about the show altering the course which is immediately followed by TV commercial interruptions.  intermission, we might have dogs do stuff, probably be the best part.

there's an ambiguous process, we will contact you.

I finally heard back from my Legends rep. She said the non-club 200's folks will likely get their calls toward the end of 2024, after the lower bowl folks are done. (I assume 300's will be  last to get called.) I also asked her about non-club seats with heat, and her answer was a bit vague, but sounded like she was saying only club seats are getting heat.

Just FYI: Legends has begun selling $10K club PSL’s now.

I was also informed by two separate season ticket holders that they were told by agents that there's no need to worry about being moved to the "back of the line” if they don’t purchase at their meeting, since there will be seats left over to purchase after everyone has had their turn. Aka, they’re not on pace to sell out the clubs so you will have a second chance to purchase even if you decline at the presentation.

* this doesn’t include field club

I just saw a FB post on the one group that showed this as well. Wasn’t confirmed with pic or anything but someone definitely brought it up on there. Maybe it was you. Idk.

I'm still waiting for my presentation invite.  I've got one of the cheapest club seats so I imagine once it's my turn, general population should be shortly after.

I’m one section over from you now. So once I get the call you’ll be very soon after me.

Wasn’t me, but glad it was confirmed.

Saw this as well. Just curious what the 300s include. Based on the stadium surveys there was definitely covered and heated sections in the 300s, at least it appeared there was. And the prices were not even 5k for those seats they listed. I get it that things have changed and increased, but some of the covered and heated seats I remember were listed as $3950 for PSL and $1900/ticket. Some were more than expensive and some were less. But I think this was the cheapest I saw for heated and covered along the sidelines. There was some mezzanine level end zone seats that had covered and heat and I think the PSL was half that. I can look if needed.

The 300s are primarily covered. The only heated sections are the clubs (not field club). There are 2 levels of the club that I’m in (can’t remember what it is called). Those are covered and heated. The Legends Club is also heated (and I’m pretty sure covered). I think that’s like 5k seats or so in total.

Did you agree to 300 level heated clubs in your meet with them?

im just curious because im seeing multiple mezzanine levels between basically the 25-40 yard lines on multiple different levels it would appear because the pricing was broad.

the example I posted $3950/PSL and $1900/ticket were taken directly from the survey and listed as:

A seat located Between the 40's and 25's on the Mezzanine Level

Seat Coverage:

Significant - Level of Seating Overhead

Heating: Above Seats

Annual Season Ticket Price per Seat: $1,900

Personal Seat License (One-Time Fee Per Seat): $3,950

I also found this one:

A seat located Between the 40's and 25's on the Mezzanine Level

Seat Coverage: Significant - Level of Seating

Overhead

Heating: Above Seats

Annual Season Ticket Price per

Seat: $1,730

Personal Seat License (One-Time Fee Per Seat): $5,950

As you can see they appear to be the same exact seat but with different prices. My only assumption is that one is a 200 level seat and the other a 300 level seat. Or maybe there’s a 400 level that factors in there somewhere.

I’m in the 200 level clubs (I think). They are in the 200 level and 300 level and only on one side of the field (visitors). I didn’t commit at the meeting. I waited until they released lower PSLs the next week and moved closer to the goal line. I’m at like the 20 yard line.

I’m in 237 which is basically the back of the end zone. I’m only 1 section in from the edge of the clubs. It’ll get to me fairly soon I think but just trying to gauge how things are compared to the survey that was put out a while back.

like I stated. It appears there are multiple levels that differ incredibly in price but appear to be the same based on the survey.

I’m currently in 237 as well. These are probably 1 to 1 1/2 sections closer to the 50.

I’m good with being closer to the end zone. Honestly,  don’t care where they are really. Just looking for a cheap option to hear and cover. I haven’t decided for sure yet. But I am close to sold on of the options are 9k per PSL,  I’m out. I’ll have to see though. There was a few end zone sections that had coverage and heat according to their survey. And with  much smaller price tag. I’m fine with that, assuming that’s even an option. Not everything is matching up with the survey so we’ll see.
