His salary guarantees on 3/17, but that wouldn’t have any impact on a trade. It’s not like a team trading for him wouldn’t expect him to play for them this season. The only thing it impacts is releasing him - which I don’t think is happening until next offseason. I think the Bills would be happy to trade Diggs (especially after 6/1), but I don’t think it happens either. They just needed average play last year and they get in the playoffs… No different than Denver the year they acquired Wilson… I remember reading a statistic that if they averaged 20.5ppg, providing the defenses played the same each game, they would have walked away with the number 1 seed. Wilson needs a productive run game to be successful at this point in his career. That 2022 season their whole RB room; Javonte Williams, Murray, Gordon & Edmonds were injury prone. Same last season. Inconsistent run game. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that Wilson will turn it around but the play from those 2 years was better than Pittsburgh had… Couple that with what should be a reasonable game that can support his deficiencies and it could work out.
