Despite all the doom and gloom, the Bills have arguably the best "put it all on him" QB in the league and a history of good to elite defenses. Give Allen some more weapons to play with, Brady can implement his system, and keep the defense at around the same level and you've got a contender. They haven't lost a regular season game by more than 6 points since mid November of 2021 against the Colts at home. He has the physical tools, but I’m not sold on his urgency to win at all costs. Brady had that. Mahomes has that. He was in the 13 seconds game, but otherwise at the end of the season when we really need him he’s just another classic Buffalo Bill. Amazing regular seasons, some other really nice playoff games, but when it really comes down to it he’s the guy who fumbles away wins in his own endzone, throws one way when Gabe runs the other, short throws an open Shakir, etc. He just doesn’t get it done. And maybe I’m putting too much on his shoulders, but a winning QB does more than just throw more touchdowns than the opposition. I understand this may be McD’s job, but where’s the leadership? Where’s the heart? Would an elite QB have allowed his #1 target to pull a disappearing act? Would love to have Belicheat roaming our sidelines next year.
