I like Cowling. I tend to have a lower ceiling for slots but I like him. 3rd round grade for me. Williams..... I was excited to see in the Shrine Game.... but he was really disappointing and I have gone back to his tape since and I do not see it at all. Doesn't run proper routes. Don't see a ton of separation. I think he will catch on somewhere and he will have a couple of 200-300 yars seasons in the NFL. But not sure he will be a lot better than that.

Yeah, I think with Williams it really boils down to if you think you can develop him and if you have the appetite to do it for a guy that will almost surely be exclusively out of the slot. He doesn't have much experience at WR but he was pretty productive especially considering the team around him and he does have some athletic gifts. He's my WR16 or 17 so not exactly who I'm hoping we get.

Adonai Mitchell and Troy Franklin are the fellas I think you're looking at as possible at #28.

I think Cosell is one of the sharper minds out there. He's very high on Mitchell; likes Franklin as well.

At the end of the interview, Cosell says, "Diggs is not a true 1 anymore. . . They need more juice at receiver . . . you don't want to waste Josh Allen without giving him receivers."

Boy Kitchens has had a bad combine so far. Williams ran slow but at least he’s big but I am not a fan. Williams will have to move to LB in the NFL.

I don't like Kinchens tape either. He is my SF5 at the moment. I know a lot have him higher but he isn't for me.

Brandon Beane was just talking to Rich Eisen and Daniel Jeremiah at the Combine.

A lot of it was about the Drafting of Josh, Josh as a player, the Bills vs. The Chiefs, etc. But they ended with this:

Quote

Eisen: What are you willing to share - how do you think your Receiver room is going to look like?

Beane: Yeah, I mean listen, we always want to get better. I know everyone's (the media) always worried about Steph Diggs and all that - but Steph is here and we look forward to having him back next season and hopefully adding more players and more talent to him. We're always looking for more playmakers. Last year we Drafted a Tight End in Dalton Kincaid and people were like "why didn't you go get a Receiver"? We look at it more as we want mismatches and playmakers. Whether it's a Tight End, a Receiver, or a Running Back - whoever.

A couple things there:

- He seems to understand that everyone knows we're in the WR market and though he doesn't deny it, he always seems to throw in TE or RB. Downplaying the need for WR specifically and focusing on playmakers as a whole. Surely by design.

- He shut down the media notion of Diggs possibly being moved. Diggs is going to be here this year. End of story.

- While I do think the mentioning of RB is simply mentioning other playmakers that aren't WR to not completely tip his hand - he has mentioned the position on multiple occasions now. Makes me wonder if he's thinking about it higher than I'd expect. Certainly not Round 1 or Round 2. But maybe higher than the Round 5-7 I think we'd all expect/prefer.

I think if a guy like Braelon Allen at a muscular, bruising 245 is available at the bottom of Round 3 or top of Round 4 - that may be something he considers in a move up from 4.

That Diggs quote is going to PO some fans, but I agree with him.

I love Cosell. He’s usually right so him being so high on Adonai makes me want him as much as Thomas or Franklin.

It would be wild if we drafted both Texas WR’s

don’t know anything about Braelon Allen sounds intriguing. I’d be thrilled with Jaylen Wright. Speed and Power.

To your point of Beane mentioning RB several times….

perhaps 3 of the first 4 rounds we go offense

WR, DT, WR, RB in whatever order

there are so many Safeties on the market and with Byard’s position coach from Titans now being on our staff… if the $ can be worked out I’d target him. Regardless of that….if we can only fill one of S or DT well enough in UFA I’d expect it to be S

Take a look. With your infatuation with Derrick Henry, I think you're going to like what you see.

If we do go RB, it's going to be a 220+ guy with a bruising, in between the tackles style to compliment Cook. Allen is 245 lbs. of muscle and power.

Unfortunately, I don't believe he'll be there when we consider RB. Especially if he has a good showing tomorrow. But prognostications on him go anywhere from Round 2 to Round 5 - so who knows?

Thanks! Good highlights. I’d certainly be happy with him in Round 3-4. Wonder what his 40 time is?  4.39-4.42 maybe?

We'll see tomorrow. If he were to run that fast though with his blend of size, muscle, power, and tackle breaking ability - he'd almost surely be too rich for our blood, unfortunately.

Here's a number of top WR prospects talking about meeting with the Bills. Great to see so many say we've held interviews with them. Especially to see ALL of the WR's I have from WR4-WR9

Troy Franklin fans, you're gonna love this - Joe Brady recruited Troy Franklin:

Also met with Xavier Legette, another of my favorites, and he sounds like he wants us to come get him:

Keon Coleman is excited by the idea of learning under Stefon Diggs:

Brian Thomas Jr. on meeting with us and seeing mocks to Buffalo:

Xavier Worthy talks about what his meeting with the Bills was like:

Roman Wilson - also a big Stefon Diggs fan:

We've also reportedly met with Adonai Mitchell - though there's no video of him talking about the meeting:

I think we’re sitting in a great spot to land Brian Thomas, Adonai Mitchell, or Troy Franklin. I bet Beane trades up a few spots to get the guy he really wants. All these WRs have 1st round talent imo.

Let’s hope you’re right. A lot of people think Thomas is a one trick pony but the way he sets up his routes using footwork and leverage seems like he could develop into something special. I think he’s in the mix for top 3… Odunze/Nabers/Thomas.

Really feel he’s off the board in the top 15 if not 20. Will probably have to make a move if you want him. Franklin would be a great consolation prize and there’s a lot of talent with Mitchell.

Again… Heres hoping! 🤞

I also am not a Kinchens fan, but he does have a coaching connections to the Bills with our DB coach being his secondary coach last year at Miami. He was also recruited to Miami by Manny Diaz - a close McDermott friend. We have already drafted Diaz’s defensive guys before in Rousseau and Jaquan Johnson. Charlie Campbell also had this to say about the Bills and Kinchens yesterday.

Quote

Over the last handful of years, the Buffalo Bills had one of the better safety tandems in the NFL with veterans Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. They were very reliable and steady veterans who anchored the back end of the secondary. However, things could be changing with Hyde hitting free agency and Poyer being a potential cap casualty. With those veterans potentially being done in Buffalo, sources with the team said safety is on the organization’s radar for the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft is not strong at the safety position, but the Bills could land some intriguing talents on the second team. The Bills are high on Miami safety Kamren Kinchens. Kinchens needs to run fast and do well in the field drills in order to have a shot at being a second-round pick, but Buffalo really likes Kinchens. Kinchens generated tremendous ball production with 12 interceptions over the past two seasons.

https://walterfootball.com/nfl-hot-press-bills-considering-safety-help-in-2024-nfl-draft.php

Pair that with Beane’s comment yesterday:

Quote

“I think instincts are really big at safety,” Beane told reporters Tuesday here at the annual NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

“If you’re telling me, ‘you can have an athletic guy that’s a 4.3 (in the forty yard dash), 4.4 safety but he doesn’t have instincts,’ I’ll take the 4.6 guy with instincts, ball skills, and a little less range.”

And with that, Kinchens combine is right up their alley lol

Franklin was #1 in YAC while lined up Out Wide (among combine invites)

If Odunze falls to Seattle at 16, does BUF consider it?

Odunze is such an alpha. The game at OSU in the snow, where OSU was favored, when every other receiver including Polk and MacMillan literally dropped everything, Odunze put the team on his back. He would be awesome on the Bills. A trade up is prob too rich when we need to restock the roster with draft picks going forward and the WRs available at 28 are also likely very good.
