They're 3-1 in their last 4 match ups, all in Arrowhead, with the only blowout being in favor of the Bills. So they know they CAN beat the Chiefs. But is the moment too big? Is the anticipation & pressure too much? Now you've got another opportunity, with the entire season building towards this moment. Will it be too much for the Bills? Will it be too much for Allen? At home, in front of tens of thousands of screaming Bills fans placing their hopes & decades of emotional baggage on you, can they overcome the 2 x champs or shrink in the moment? Gang Tackle crazy Pacheco (for the short time he’s in the NFL) Now game plan for Rice Don't allow lapses in containing Mahomes behind the line of scrimmage as a run threat The Chiefs grab like crazy on Defense, so please don’t it sucked into complaining to the refs. I don't like them having two extra days of recovery and two more days of Coach Reid game planning. We are the better team, but until they're knocked out, they are the Champs. For me, the two biggest factors: 1. 1 turnover or less 2. Control the Clock I like your ideas but add two more and I think with the best 12th man in football we can advance, providing we dispatch Pitt. We must have a competent spy on Mahomes. He’s running more lately and wrecking games. Finally, our tackling, which has been better during the win streak, must be physically imposing. Their backs have been running hard and controlling games especially in cold weather conditions. Miami was so poor tackling that it looked like they wanted to get back to the Hotel early. Both offenses struggled and both QB's played a little more inconsistent than they probably would like. WR's struggled to get open. Both teams leaned more on the run game. Defenses for both are playing well. Again, for both it seems like first to 21 wins. The question in my mind is who has gotten better since our last dead heat match up? I don't think we will be able to take advantage of Cook in the passing game like last time. Rice is becoming more consistent for them. Mahomes is with Brady and Montana as far as the NFL's best playoff performers. Throw the regular season game out. I don't know how this is anything but a dead heat. I have been hard on McD's playoff performance stating that we need to win an AFC championship to really change my feelings. But if we do get a shot at KC and we win, I would say this year would meet the definition of "success". I would think a win here would be considered the best of the Allen / McD era.
