Forget about that but at least Donte had a pretty successful NFL career.   Wasn't Donte's specialty the "back tackle"

where he would turn his back to the runner and knock him down on the ground with his back?   Maybin was one of our biggest busts (for a first rounder) of all time, somehow the clown HC Rex Ryan managed to get a few sacks out of Maybin with the Jets..

yeah donte wasn’t bad.  I thought he was an above average safety with us who was a better fit in SF.

tackling with his back….don’t remember tbh.  He was a big hitter for sure

maybe one day lol.  I’ve been warned and put in timeout my fair share.

maybe they see the truth in what I’m saying.

Your weak baiting techniques are powerless against my power.  Back to ignore you go.

For starters. What ever point i made with others is far done and I do not think

You’re doing a great job proving @PrimeTime101 correct.  Keep insulting members through your personal attacks.  Maybe one day a moderator will hold you accountable and to the same standards of the other TBD MB members.

For starters. What ever point i made with others is far done and I do not think My name needs to be brought up over and over again. @NewEra and myself had a little run in but that was not just about @NewEra. We can go out and make our points and move on as adults. As to this topic, I feel we all have the right to have our own opinion on what our expectations should or should not be. I would not shove expectations on you, would not be fair. I have extremely high expectations that gat us to the AFCE Championship at the least.

Again.. We all made our valid points. Lets move on....

yep. Thanks for proving my point from my other thread... your obsession with @NewEra is nuts and now you do the very thing I am 1000% against. Making it personal. Now you are ignored.

Giphy, come back to me!!  How dare you leave me when I need you most!

Best post I’ve seen in 20+ years.  👊🏻

I see huge possibilities for Kincaid - getting Beasley type targets with near same results.  A huge weapon along the Kelce lines.  I would love to see when the Bills get a first down with Diggs/Davis/Knox/Kincaid and maybe Harris out there, go to no-huddle.  Go power run while the D can't substitute, catch the D with the lightweight extra DBs out there.  And I want Kincaid out there getting reps quickly, Jets game even.  And I don't want a short leash on him either - none of what happened to J Cook or Shakir.

The problem for me with these incredibly optimistic hopes is when they don't happen, I will look for reasons.  And I will be looking to Dorsey for answers.  He has a different type of chess piece here, I want to see him get Kincaid involved.

So when someone says to me that "I need to temper my expectations" I get it.  Because I do.  if I let my hopes become my expectations i am judging Dorsey by some very lofty, unrealistic, goals.

Agree with all but the last paragraph.

I’m going to judge everything about bills related just as I do every year.

I know where I’ll look first if our offense is lacking. 1st:  the OL.  If the OL is getting wrecked, it’s tough to do anything with great success.  If the OL isn’t terrible and the offense is still 💩  2nd:  Dorsey-  it’s his offense.  It’s his responsibility to make sure it’s firing.  3rd:  it’ll most likely be my fault.  My expectations clearly caused our sucktitude.

If Kincaid isn’t producing but our offense is humming, I won’t be upset.  Minus injury, just don’t see how isn’t going to be a key contributor this year and a star in the future.

And I still don’t understand why it’s “needed” to temper expectations.  Need would signify that if you don’t do this, then there will be a negative outcome.  What is the negative outcome that will arise if I don’t?

Your answer is: that I’ll judge the OC? Or put blame on someone?  🤷🏻‍♂️ that just doesn’t seem like any reason to “need” to do something.  Maybe if it had a negative impact on the team…. Like the reality that was spoken of, I could understand. I don’t understand the need when the only negative outcome comes in the fashion of my thoughts

They key words I didn’t include were should and unrealistic in regards to setting expectations for him this year.  “We should curb unrealistic expectations” We all want Dalton to go bonkers this year, but historically it’s highly improbable.  So why are unrealistic expectations not good?  Well, many reasons (most of which you concluded, thank you!) 1 - it’s not a rationale way to assess the player or offense and 2 - you’re most likely setting yourself up for disappointment (we as Bills fans already have had enough of that over the last 30 years).

Nobody "needs" to temper their expectations lol this is such a weird thing to get upset about. Nobodies implying our expectations will have any effect on the field.

Saying "we need to keep our expectations in check" is a very common phrase, that nobody else is taking as literally as you. All he's saying is anyone expecting 12tds, 1200yards, 140 catches, will be likely disappointed.

Why is anyone having this argument lol

Serious question, are you already looking for "reasons" or scapegoats.?

I have never seen a more successful 1st yr OC so demonized by his own fan base, like he was the target as soon as Dabol left.

Do you predict snow and rain 24/7? Do you Just predict Earthquakes, Tornado's and Hurricanes? Lighten up a little man. Let people enjoy what is in front of them instead of you raining on their parade every day. :D  IDK man... Maybe this is just the reason why we do not trust weather men on tv. We got this awesome player, best catcher in the draft. let us enjoy our wild expectations for a while. Let us have fun.

Cup Half full. Even if it is filled with Rain Water.

Welcome to my fun sarcasm for the day :D

why are you having this conversation?

I made a post.  My SWF told me that I needed to temper my expectations.  I disagree.  My hopes and expectations will have no effect on anything.

Who’s expecting 140 1200 12?  My expectations are that he will be a great player.

it’s only funny if both people are laughing, now your just being a bully.  I’ve had it, I’m going to make a thread about how many mean people are on this message board.  You proved my previous points from a separate conversation, your obsession with me is nuts.  You’ve made this personal which I’m 1000% against.  You’re now blocked. 😭 😭 😢 Sound familiar?

On a separate note, do you really think weathermen forecast earthquakes?  What in the Sam hell are they teaching kids in HS these days?  🤦🏻‍♂️

Glad I could facilitate the rekindling of yours and NewEra’s romance.  I thought you were both headed for a nasty divorce.  Cheers to you both 🍻

I am not sure if it has been posted in this thread, but Kincaid has a lot of potential and I am very excited to see him in this offense… especially opening up the middle in Zone schemes, and taking advantage of one-on-one LB matchups! I am pretty sure no one mentioned this before now

Oh man. If you didn't get that I was keeping that whole reply lite with my smiles showing that I was not being super serious about it then i give up.

That was my best effort to lighten the situation up and move on and you took it serious. enough is enough lol.
