Oh my god. They actually think drag brunch is the same thing as late night drag shows.

This would be very embarrassing if they were capable of self-reflection

A North Carolina community college is “revising” its rules around underage drag shows following a recent incident involving a student getting a lap dance, according to reports.

Student was 15. This was during the day at a school. Appropriate?

First comment.

the peeeeedowws have found a loop hole. dress like a queen and then rub yourselves up against minors. then when you are questioned, call everyone transphobic...absolutely brilliant!!!

Which leads to the obvious point.  If that same man did the same exact thing, but dressed as a man, he'd be charged immediately as he should.

So a drag performer did something inappropriate, which prompted a response?

Seems reasonable and how you would expect things to work.

In fact, if this is how all drag performances worked, then this wouldn’t even be the story. It is a news story because it’s an aberration.

Had things been even more inappropriate, the performer could likely be charged with child endangerment or violating decency laws.

All in all, a pretty good example of why the new laws being pushed by the GOP around drag shows are not necessary and also not intended to actually protect children.

The new rules require this person to be cancelled immediately. Protest the school, cancel the school. etc.  Why the double standard? Why allow an apology? Why no doxing of the person and stalking them at their home and have them fired from their job?  These are the new rules after all. The only reason this was even caught was a video got out.

Here's what should be done. No drag shows for kids, no puberty blockers for kids, no surgeries for kids, play the sport of the gender you were born with. Very simple reasonable rules we can all live by and move on from this.

Here’s what should be done. Let parents decide what content is appropriate for their children instead of having the government mandate it. Have doctors provide a standard of care accepted by the major medical expert groups like the AMA, in conjunction with informed consent from the family. Let schools, districts, and communities decide who can play which sports without government interference.

Very simple reasonable rules we can all live by and move on from this with the added benefit of having fewer kids kill themselves.

How would any of this stop kids from killing themselves? Can you back that up with science?  Because the only long term study done with these surgeries showed there was no decrease in suicide from having these surgeries. These hospitals want money and there is a lot of money in these surgeries. They are tripping over themselves to do them.

Gender-Affirming Care Linked To Less Depression, Lower Suicide Risk For Trans Youth

“Young people receiving GAHT reported a lower likelihood of experiencing recent depression and considering suicide, compared to those who wanted GAHT but did not receive it.

Receiving GAHT was associated with nearly 40% lower odds of recent depression and of a past-year suicide attempt by young people under age 18.”

In October 2019, the American Journal of Psychiatry (AJP) published a study from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, and the Yale School of Public Health which reported that “gender-affirming" surgeries for gender dysphoric patients are associated with improved mental health outcomes (1). Looking at mental health utilization in the year 2015, a retrospective analysis showed that the more time passed since surgery, the fewer mental services were utilized by patients, with an average 8% reduction in mental health utilization for each year following surgery. From this, the study concluded that surgery has a beneficial effect on mental health, and that benefits continue to accrue over time. However, following a reanalysis of the data, this conclusion has now been officially corrected to indicate that there is “no advantage of surgery.”

The left....can't charge kids with crimes cause their brains aren't developed.

Also left, kids can get permanent body surgery starting at age 12 cause their brains are totally developed to handle this.

Make it make sense.

Gender affirming care is far more than just surgery and begins well before they would even be eligible for surgery.

Also, surgery is rare for kids and only happens after years or treatment. Typically, they are adults by the time they get surgery.

The anti-trans laws being pushed by the GOP right now will result in more dead kids.

No it won't. That's hyperbole. The only one's causing the deaths are the people creating all this stress and drama over these trans issues. Nobody is saying don't get therapy just don't use the permanent body altering drugs and surgeries on the kids.

Literally just showed you a study that showed that gender affirming care reduces suicides and your response is that we should ban gender affirming care but somehow that won’t increase suicides?

I didn't watch the video but I do know that she started using the puberty blockers around age 11-12 or even younger I think but it was young regardless. The blockers stopped growth of her male organs which are normally used when you eventually get the bottom surgery.  They use these sex organs and keep them in tact so that the person can have an ***** and enjoy a sex life.  She has publicly states she will never enjoy an ***** cause the puberty blockers screwed her up so bad and  she had to have multiple reconstructive surgeries to correct the issues.

Imagine what that will do to the mental health of these kids getting these drugs pushed on them?  We know these pharma companies definitely don't push docs to give these drugs to patients right @ChiGoose ? They certainly didn't cause millions to die from overdoses.  No way.

I just showed you a study showing no impact

No you didn’t. You showed a study about just one aspect of gender affirming care that is very rare for minors.

You then stated that we should not provide most types of gender affirming care despite the fact that this is shown to increase rates of suicide.

You can just say you don’t mind the kids dying, you don’t have to make stuff up.

you can also admit you’re ok with kids committing suicide after failed treatments.

I’m not. I’m for kids getting treatment approved by experts like the AMA with informed consent and parental support.

I do not believe the government should be in the doctor’s room overriding everyone.

I am also for kids getting treatment but the problem is the government is involved either way. Did you not see the video of Vanderbilt hospital trying to be the trans surgery hub cause of all the money they’d make ? It’s all about profit
