another a opportunistic sociopath

She is some of the worst of the worst. Never thought I’d prefer Cuomo over anyone, but he at least had personality. Problem with living in a state completely dominated by one of the largest, most liberal cities in the country is that the Democrats could almost literally run anyone and win. You don’t have to be a good candidate to win in the state. If you have the money to blast your name out there more than the other guy you’ll get the Democratic nomination. If you get that, you win the governorship.

Poloncarz is another sterling example of some of the horrendous candidates who continue to win.

good comment. it's crazy. its literally voted reps from 4 cities (NYC, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo) that drives the state legislator.

I think many people are indifferent about her, she’s like that milky bland rice meal Stu’s father-in-law talked about in The Hangover 2.

As for her appearance at the command center for the missing girl, governors and politicians just do that sort of thing.   I get appearing at the site of disasters, trying to show leadership in whatever form that takes, but it struck me as simply taking time away from the important job of trying to find this young lady where time was of the essence.   I have zero doubt a R gov would have done the same, but this one struck me as “bleh”.

Btw, I live about 45 minutes from this area and was on the Thruway/Northway (Albany to Canada run) on Sunday.   I saw the “Amber Alert” signs lit up but there literally was no additional info.  I thought perhaps were testing the signs.  No reference to why they were lit. No reference to a news station.  No description. Just a sign with AMBER ALERT on it.   IMO a gigantic and confusing clusterf@ck.

NY Gov. Hochul says she could fix key national issues

including migrant crisis ‘in about 5 minutes’

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday boasted she could fix key national issues including the migrant crisis “in about five minutes’’ — while touting her latest answer to New York’s asylum-seeker disaster: a new app.

Hochul’s “Ms. Fix-It” claim, and the unveiling of an app designed to connect some migrants to legal jobs, surfaced as she appeared to back-pedal on her comments only a day earlier involving US immigration woes.

The Democratic gov had finally ramped up her rhetoric over the Biden administration’s immigration crisis Sunday by saying the country’s borders are “too open” and that Congress needed to “put more controls” on them, including a “limit’’ on the number of people allowed over.

NY Gov. Hypocrite Hochul Spotted in Israel Wearing Body Armor She Banned for New Yorkers

By Ranjit Singh

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has bragged about the new infringements at press conferences. Among the new infringements passed by the state include:

A licensing infringement for the purchase of any semi-auto

  • Infringements on the rights of 18-21 year old adults to purchase a semi-auto
  • (After the spectacular failure of the red flag law with the Buffalo shooter) Enabling further red flag confiscations to harass ordinary people
  • Setting the ground for junk science-based microstamping to ban guns in the future
  • Ban on pistol braces
  • Eliminating the grandfathering of “large capacity” magazines previously allowed as a “compromise”
  • Training burdens and fees to get a carry permit
  • Creating a patchwork of government-approved Mass Shooting Zones (“sensitive places”) to entrap and imprison ordinary gun owners
  • Banning concealed carry on private property by default
  • Creating a minefield of misdemeanors that can result in the revocation of a carry permit
  • Ammo background check
  • Creating a surveillance state with a license and ammunition sales database
  • Creating a surveillance state with social media snitching
  • Banning body armor for most people, and requiring body armor sales to be completed in person

The last on the above list is New York’s clownish body armor ban. The ban initially missed the armor worn by the Buffalo shooter, which was ostensibly the motive for banning body armor. A lot of people own body armor. Why they own it is their business. But the state, using the Buffalo shooter as a pretext, banned body armor for everyone.

After banning body armor for ordinary New Yorkers, Gov. Kathy Hochul made a taxpayer-funded junket to Israel. What value can a useless New York politician, presiding over an exploding $36.4 billion budget deficit, a major narcotics crisis, a self-imposed illegal immigration sanctuary crisis, massive capital outflows, and fleeing taxpayers (causing the loss of a congressional seat) add to Israel?

Was Hochul there to tell former Sayeret Matkal commando Benjamin Netanyahu to make the Gaza Border a “sensitive place” like Times Square?

While in Israel, Hochul was spotted wearing body armor which she didn’t hesitate to ban for the proles she lords over

NYC, 8.8M

Roch, 211K

Buffalo, 280K

Syracuse,, 145K

total - 9.4 million

NYS, 20.2 million

but in the big picture you perfectly explained why democracy is just two wolves and a lamb voting for what's for lunch.

Why NY is second in the nation in taxpayers fleeing from it. Right behind Cali, and in front of Illinois

And in an Ironic twist, those areas are also where the majority of gun/violent crime happens.
