Just put Tampa in the Finals already. Sweeping the Panthers and holding them to 3 goals the entire series is very impressive. Last night the Panthers had the better of the play but the brick wall Vasilevskiy stopped everything they threw at him. There is no doubt he is the best goalie in hockey. These past three years of play he has earned his spot in the HOF. If the Lightning win it again then they will be considered a modern day dynasty.

Im guessing a Tampa vs Carolina and Colorado vs Edmonton conference finals.

 

Edmonton vs Colorado could be a very interesting series, if Edmonton gets by Calgary. The way both teams play such an attacking offensive style could make for some really exciting games. I also think Edmonton has a better shot at besting Colorado than Calgary does.

 

But I’d still pick Colorado and Tampa as the two most likely Stanley cup finalists.

Boy, I bet Toronto is kicking themselves right now after watching that Florida series. Had they been able to close out Tampa I really feel like they would have been the best team left in the East. Their chances at making the ECF would’ve been pretty good (IMO).

Tampa will make it to the finals, but could lose to ANY of the 4 teams in the west still alive.

If I had to guess, I'd say it will be Colorado vs. Tampa in the finals, with Colorado winning the Cup.

This Oilers/Flames game is a freaking riot... gotta be close to the record of most goals scored in the smallest time frame. Edit: the fastest 4 goals in playoff history.

 

Wish the Rangers had won earlier but they are still hanging on by a thread.

I am SUPER Pumped for this!  This has probably been the #1 Sports Documentary left that I've been waiting to see for quite some time now.  I always had faith they would do one at some point...that rivalry was just too intense not to have one.  Some of the best and most intense hockey I've ever watched especially when they met in the playoffs.

I think Vasi is better but to reiterate... I just don't want Tampa to win the cup, I live here and really don't want to hear champa bay ever again lol. So bring it Rangers.

Weren't the Leafs up on them 3-2 in the 1st round before the Bolts came back and won in 7. I would expect a bounce back game. Usually when Vasilevskiy has a bad game he responds with a strong one. I sure hope so. F the Rags.

As an Isles fan obviously I want the Rags out but I will be rooting for the WC to win the Cup no matter what the matchup is.

Edmonton would be rolling to a cup if they had a decent goaltender.

The Rangers are in the upper limits of where I hoped the Sabres would be in two years, but Levi went back to school.

I live in NJ so I don't get to see the Sabres to often but from when I did see them play they looked like they were starting to turn it around. They have some nice young players to build around. Hopefully they can compete for a playoff spot next season.

I think next year will FINALLY be the first year in a very long time when trying to make the playoffs is a theme of the season...but I expect us to fall short.  But not by much.  I think we'll keep it interesting most of the year.  

 

It's the year after next (2023/2024) when I think we'll solidly be in the playoffs--finally.

This past season was a weird one in the EC. There really wasn't a playoff race this year as the eight teams that made it had a comfortable lead throughout the season. It will be a challenge but if the Sabres continue to improve then maybe they can be in the mix for a WC. Just looking at the Sabres division you have the Lightning, Leafs, and B's as three tough teams to keep up with. In the other division you have the Canes and Rangers as tough teams. The Pens and Caps are competitive but their star players are starting to get older. While the Isles had a bad year after back to back ECF they could get back into the playoff race next season.

just because a person talks trash after their team wins doesn’t give someone the right to sucker punch/assault them.

 

If you take sports that seriously that you feel the need to assault someone for simply bragging about their team’s win, you have a serious problem with anger.

 

I hope the guy in the red shirt was caught and has charges pressed against him.
