You'd think the City would just tear it down. Or who ever owns it, force them.  Looks like a safety hazard. What else could really go there...Butts up against residential... Not gr8 residential to say the least... But looks like people are living there.

Turning it into a vacant lot.

No slackers there really... that is an impressive list in such a short time. Shame the place was let to be rundown... a lot of music in those walls.

It really is an amazing list.  Borderline mind-blowing.  Boggles my mind how it went to sh*t so quickly.  Very sad.

Going to look on youtube for this:

Louder Than Love: The Grande Ballroom Story, a 2012 documentary film about the venue and its influence on rock music, was awarded an Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences of Michigan in 2016. The film was produced and directed by Tony D’Annunzio. [12]

In December 2018, the Grande Ballroom was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Is it just that one building or the who block b.c it looks like they are all attached. I would knock it down and build apartment building... one that won't collapse (too soon?)

Yeah.  Zoned commercial. But, right next to it's residential.   Probably better go all residential.

The houses look kinda run down.   Doesn't look viable for commercial.   Who'd want to come down there to see a show.  Looks sketchy.  Then complaints of the neighbors, etc...

Something has to give!

Grosse Pointe Shores... Isn't that where Ralph was from?

Okay... Technically NOT Detroit... 😉

Same distance between Buffalo and Orchard Park.

Its really only an hour long once you skip the commercials... and in the end I felt sad. Sad that the place has gone to ruin. It just went the way of the Fillmores E&W, Winterland, Whiskey a go-go, etc. Really, the place just needs to be taken down, it serves no purpose anymore.
