Of course.

Does Ukraine really have a neo-Nazi problem? US officials won’t say

.

Maybe one of our resident history buffs can give us an overview of Ukrainian collaboration with Hitler's SS during WW2?  And how history, like they claim shapes race and ethnic relations today in the USA, is also the guiding force currently in Ukraine.

Ukraine: An Expendable Country May Soon Run out of Expendables

By Alexander G. Markovsky

FTA:

However, the NATO strategic geniuses failed again. Ukraine did not collapse, the sanctions did not achieve their desired outcome, and NATO got sucked into a war by proxy with Russia.

This sobering reality forced NATO to reshape the conflict and come up with a new strategy. The current strategy is centered on a prolonged war of attrition to weaken Russia economically and militarily and force it into some kind of surrender. Since the war rages on Ukrainian soil, Ukraine pays a devastating human and economic price. About half of the population of 35 million has left the country or were killed or incapacitated. Its infrastructure, which took about 200 years to build, is being destroyed, the economy practically is devastated, and what used to be the breadbasket of Europe recently adopted a law to raise marijuana.

The country is in a state of material penury dependent for its survival on international assistance. Zelensky has been walking with an outstretched hand around the world, begging for military and economic aid. Shamefully, this suffering country with a well-educated population became a country of beggars. Zelensky even dresses like a beggar.

Zelensky believes that since he is advancing Western interests, there should be reciprocal obligations. He sees the country’s salvation in joining NATO and the EU, being adopted, and getting on international welfare. In addition, he expects the West to offer hundreds of billions of dollars for reconstruction.

Its not Ukraine but anyone paying attention to the Nigerian Junta?  Now they have suspended exports of gold and uranium to France.

US has had an ongoing intervention in Niger, lots of talk about a French attack on the capital.

The protesters attacking the embassy had Russian flags.

Yup, I have been. France has as sprawling, "informal" Empire amongst its old colonies in West and Central Africa. Those nations are bound to France and French-run financial institutions by a lot of arm twisting and shadowy treaties.

A ton of money and strategically critical raw materials got funneled into French coffers for pennies on the dollar. Doesn't surprise me that those chickens have come home to roost.

-However-

If Putin and Wagner are behind it, and Putin and Wagner are basically bragging OJ style about how they're behind it, then the game is afoot. France+ African Allies vs Putin, Wagner and African allies.

Putin just backed out of the black sea grain deal, then blew up all of Ukraine's grain exporting ports. Which wete the major suppliers of grain foodstuffs in Africa pre-War. He just went to the African Union and tried to strongarm them with veiled threats against their food supplies, which he largely controls unless the AU shifts suppliers.  African leaders who are sympathetic to Russia in a lot of other spheres are not impressed, notably Egypt and South Africa

So now there's lots of talk that West African alliances and/or the African Union will intervene militarily. Probably with a blank check from the French. Which is more egg on Macron's face, as he's been massaging Russia from the start, trying to forge an image for himself as a "realist" and a "peacemaker".  Just to have Russia turn back around and kick him in the balls.

I think it would be good to make efforts to try to get them back to the negotiation table

Ukraine looks like a war zone it’s gonna take years just to rebuild that country from everything it’s people are being brutalized and displaced

Continue to fund them continue to give them weapons, but attach negotiation as part of the deal

Let Russia save face, but go home

I wish your argument had worked on North Vietnam or the Taliban. We'd live in a better world.

This might need its own topic soon.

France is recommending all EU citizens leave Niger and evacuating anyone wishing to leave.  Other European nations are urging their citizens to take them up on the offer.

Meanwhile, Burkina Faso and Mali, two nations previous under France's domination, have said that they will consider an attack against Niger by West African ECOWAS states as a de-facto carrying out France’s bidding and as such a declaration of war.

Of note, the US has two military bases in the country.  One under the Pentagon and the other the CIA.

(Almost fell to the third page, where are the pro-war folks?)

They might not have learned much in the way of fighting skills but I bet they are more inclusive and tolerant than ever before. Glory to Ukraine!
