I’ve never seen a Governor pass so many irrelevant laws that no one cares about and no one asked for.

He’s playing to a very small sliver of the overall electorate. The party doesn’t seem to have a platform outside of silly culture wars. That makes me happy.

lol, I’m sure inside your echo chamber that all sounds right.

It looks a lot like he is trying to position himself as the vocal opposition to the very unpopular culture war your legion has been waging.

Your people better hurry and try to take him  down, he seems competent from the few times I’ve heard him speak, and you guys need Trump as the icon of the opponent to win obviously.

Yup, trying to stir up outrage over crap. Crying about Confederate pro-slavery traitors while saying the pro-democracy party is totalitarian. Just BS.

But BS is the food of the right.

I’m pretty sure that this law, allowing people to run over black protesters, and critical race theory aren’t going to be the top 3 issues on voter’s minds in the next presidential. Just a hunch.

The Pro-slavery Conservatives! Remember, the Conservatives use to be Democrats with their vicious racism and oppression. We kicked those people out.

Kicked out? They founded the party. Sure we didn’t all see Biden cozy with KKK advocates. But anyway go on about these proslavery confederate democrats that they are crying about. Who? Robert Byrd?

Lester Maddox? Carroll Gartin?

Who’s trying to whitewash history now tibs?

You know they were Conservatives, right? Conservative Democrats. The Voting Rights Act sent the Conservatives fleeing to the Republicans.

I didn’t say I agree with the approach, just trying to provide something you won’t hear inside your chamber of leftism.

having heard a few of his press conferences he actually seem like a smart individual, relatively rare in politics these recent years. For that reason alone I’m surprised he’s even aspire to higher office.  Seems to be and idiots only club for the past few cycles

How so? Isn't it the truth the Southern Conservative Democrats were pro-slavery and segregation, pro-KKK etc? Jim Crow was a Conservative policy. Same with slavery.

It certainly is true that “Democrats were pro-slavery and segregation, pro-KKK etc. Jim Crow was a democratic policy. Same with slavery.”

Adding all the qualifiers makes it seem like you are dodging responsibility for your parties’ history of oppression.  I know you would hate that to be whitewashed.

The party is constantly in flux. Do you agree those were Conservative policies? Segregation, slavery and lynch law were not Progressive things, and Progressives fought against them.

You are ignoring the history of Conservatism. Why?

Hahahaha the fear is so real.

Reminder about "silly" culture issues.....

Biden "won" by doing nothing and flipping and flopping on 500 different positions he held in the 80s 90s 2000s and 2010s.

His base led a "silly" culture war revolution in 2020 to fire up their base of morons because of "institutional racism/America sucks."

And you had to fake a pandemic to beat Trump who is right on everything and the economy was actually sound.

The Fed wasn't sounding alarms about runaway inflation.

People weren't not working bc unemployment was better then the job.

And the debt is most definitely going to quadruple probably by 2022 - what's the Ds plan for this?  More free cash and rent?

Im not sure what history of conservatism means. That’s all relative and arbitrarily defined. You can be a conservative socialist, or conservative communist or conservative Marxist.

But I do know for a fact the Democratic Party is an institution. Your institution. And America’s original and most historically racist institution.

It doesn't have to "go down" or be zero.

It can't get out of control to where debt to GDP ratio is what's out of control.

In quarter 1 of 2017 it was 77%

In quarter 1 of 2020 it was 101.

In quarter 1 of 2021 it is now 127

The conservatives were the racists, no doubt about that. Conservative Southern Democrats ran on racial repression, anti-democracy and segregation. Those are just facts. Throw in anti-women's rights, anti-gay rights and you got the typical Conservativism in its history.

Conservatism has a deeply racist history. Just like the Conservatives are blocking federal voting laws now, they did that forever in the Senate

Skips over the Obama spike and the completely flat Trump line.

Fascinating how ignorant.

If you are going to be an idiot...be a good one:

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Republican candidate Donald Trump promised he would eliminate the nation’s debt in eight years.1 Instead, his budget estimates showed that he would actually add at least $8.3 trillion, increasing the U.S. debt to $28.5 trillion by 2025.2 However, the national debt reached that figure much sooner. When President Trump took office in January 2017, the national debt stood at $19.9 trillion. In October 2020, the national debt reached a new high of $27 trillion. That's an increase of almost 36% in less than four years.

The national debt reached a new high of $28 trillion less than two months after President Trump left office.3

Reagan ran up a huge debt! Obama was facing a recession, which always increases the debt. Trump was handed a beautiful economy and still ran up debt.

Republicans appointed a black and Latino chairs for their committees… along with several high profile diverse cabinet appointees “Firsts” in fact. But they still get regularly branded as racist all the time.. so that is hardly a litmus test.

Your attempt to avoid the Democrats accountability for its sad history of oppression rings hollow. Why are you whitewashing history by attempt to reassign accountability for these abhorrent acts.

Yep I checked same institution founded in 193 years ago headed today by multimillionaire Nancy Pelosi, founded by a slave owner and cradle of segregation, proslavery and white supremacy. I’m starting to understand the concerns about history deniers I keep reading about.

Unlawful assembly? Arrests in Northern Virginia school board meeting after parents erupt over CRT.

“How does a public comment period at a school board turn into an unlawful assembly, and then into an ugly scrum?

The Loudoun County school board apparently got tired of getting lectured over critical race theory by angry parents, who already were upset over the suspension of a teacher from a previous public-comment session.

The school superintendent suddenly declared the meeting closed and told police to start arresting people who refused to leave, and … we have this great moment in woke representative government. . . . Bear in mind that this took place at a public comment session — whose explicit purpose is to hear points of view from the community on proposed regulation and policy.”
