I think you mean liberals, not lefties. Left vs right is a matter of economic perspective. I don't believe American liberals are the left. In fact, the only time lefties have been on the corporate media recently is when they were being interviewed by Tucker Carlson. MSNBC and CNN trask lefties as a matter of policy. Today's liberals aren't even good at being liberal. They support censorship over free speech. They support every war that comes along. They support lockdowns and mandates. I can support traditional liberalism as defined by John Locke who would be appalled by today's liberals.

yep… today’s ‘liberals’ are racist corporatists cheering on government oppression.

instead of rebelling against power they are rooting for power to squash independent thought. It’s remarkable really how quickly as a group they succumbed to the mind control, the gas lighting, the msm…. All of it.

And at the same time fully buying into the deconstruction of societal norms.

It hasn't been quick actually. On the surface it does appear that way, but the ideological subversion has been in the works for decades in all these institutions behind the scenes.

Yes, democrats do it too. Hopefully as solar and wind become even cheaper, we can continue to wean ourselves off fossil fuel.

I agree that nuclear is the best. Clean and has ridiculous capacity. Unfortunately, decades of lobbying and fear porn have scared people away from nuclear. They just shriek about Chernobyl.

Well that’s a problem too as far as right wingers extremists, blame casters and the recent flare up in antisemitism that we seem to be seeing.

But my point remains the guys that used to rebel against ‘the man’ now sound like an echo chamber of ‘the man’

The moderates are effectively the resistance

I think the OP had a point when they said years of Anti-Nuke narratives are ingrained into many.

This list is eye opening. shows the scheduled builds of nuke plants across the world.

And here is a great site showing how the west is decommissioning them as fast as possible.

Mock them until they cry

DON SURBER 6:40 PM on June 02, 2023

The media was never alarmed about Trump parody accounts.

So why are the media wagons circling to protect AOC from jokes? Because the jokes are funny and they sting. Let’s look at the Rules for Radicals written by Saul Alinsky, a Chicago communist, 52 years ago.

Rule 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.”

It took conservatives a while but the Internet gives us the opportunity to point at liberals and laugh. They do not like it.

[Neither does the Protection Racket Media. It’s not just that “liberals” are unhappy, but that media outlets are actively attacking parody and satire as “misinformation” and a conspiracy.

Must be those "cooler" democrats.

DO TELL: Democrat: Yes, there are a lot of extremists in our party, and voters know it.

“First, a Votecast survey, conducted by University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center in conjunction with the 2022 election, asked whether each party was “too tolerant of extremist groups.” Fifty-three percent found Republicans too tolerant of extremists and an identical 53 percent said the same of Democrats. In response to another question, 47 percent said Republicans need more moderate candidates while 49 percent expressed the same desire for Democrats. Equal numbers said Democrats and Republicans welcome extremism and that each party needed more centrist candidates.”

Plus: “More Nevada Latinos perceived Republicans as working to keep their neighborhoods safe from crime than felt that way about Democrats, and more believed Democrats were too liberal than that Republicans were too conservative. Again, that’s among a segment we consider part of the Democratic base.”

I’m noticing a more then I have in years athletes making deliberate efforts to thank God first in post game interviews.

I’ve had a hunch this has been intentional.  Like a collective response to the woke nonsense being forced on the players, teams, and organizations.

This kind of response tells me they absolutely are talking about it.

This is great.  And few will criticize them for it.  If they do, they're wrong.
