All of the articles say the same thing, "I owed my kid the best", "it was too easy", " the loan is making my life hard". All of the problems brought because some people could not get financing for $50k a year schools in 2010-2012, and the Obama administration fixed that. Instead of pushing adults to be more responsible they made it easier to go further into debt.

Why did college become so expensive? Because borrowing money became so much easier! When you go to buy a car, do they ask you how much you want spend? No…they ask what you want your monthly payment to be. Everything in life boils down to some pretty simple concepts.

Pregnancy advocates and others on social media are expressing outrage after a 21-year-old Oklahoma woman was convicted of first-degree manslaughter earlier this month for having a miscarriage, which the prosecutor blamed on her alleged use of methamphetamine.

Brittney Poolaw, who is a member of the Comanche Nation, according to the Comanche County Detention Center, was sentenced on October 6 by a jury to four years in state prison. Poolaw's attorney filed a notice of intent to appeal on October 15.

Prosecutors argued that the miscarriage Poolaw suffered was from her use of methamphetamine. An autopsy of the fetus showed it had tested positive for methamphetamine, the Associated Press reported, but there was no evidence her use of the substance is what caused the miscarriage. The autopsy showed the miscarriage could have been caused by a congenital abnormality and placental abruption, when the placenta detaches from the womb, the AP said.

Health care, public assistance, safe working conditions, reproductive rights, education (real education) fair policing and anti-discrimination laws, fair voting., Heck, you can't even distance yourself from the Confederate (heroes)

You probably would of against the Violence =Against Women Act, Sad

Like Ronald Reagan vetoing the sanctions against the Apartheid regime in South Africa. How evil

The fake meme is not an example of what they are talking about with government "contradictions" in the novel 1984

Odd, since you reference it every once in a while. Apparently you don't understand it very well.

MLB Nightmare: It's Georgia and Texas in the World Series

Sports writers, MLB staffers and the commissioner of baseball, in particular, must still be clutching their pearls. Last night, 41,000 unmasked Braves fans screamed their un-masked and un-mandated lungs out, all while tomahawk-chopping their Atlanta Braves to victory. Atlanta was denied this year’s All Star Game because Commissioner Manfred caved to craven, political actors. Baseball, he said, can’t have a featured event in Georgia after it passed a voter ID law. Baseball moved the event to Colorado. Colorado already had similar voter law but no matter; its all about optics, not facts.

In July, Texas Democrats slinked away to avoid a quorum on a Texas voter law. They took a private plane, took lots of selfies and lots of beer. They came back with their tails between their legs, empty cases of beer, and a couple of cases of COVID. The new voter law requiring ID passed last month. It was all about optics, not facts.

This year’s World Series is Braves versus  Astros.

Sports announcers are really going to earn their pay explaining away the many “Let’s Go Brandon” chants likely to come.

They can spend their money any way that they want of course, but don't pretend that this is a commercial to sell a product........it is not.

It is a liberal lecture, and nothing else.

Jesse Jackson hospitalized after hitting head in fall at Howard University

The Rev. Jesse Jackson was hospitalized on Monday after he fell during a visit to Howard University to advocate on behalf of students protesting campus living conditions.

The 80-year-old civil rights leader took a spill and hit his head while entering a building on the Washington, DC, campus, according to his spokesman Frank Watkins.

Jackson was taken to Howard University Hospital where he will be kept overnight for observation. He underwent a CT scan that came back normal, Watkins said.
