The bills do nothing to stop people from gaining entry into the US illegally.  This "fix a broken immigration system" is cover for "we won't do anything about the border."

Venezuela Empties Prisons, Sends Violent Criminals to U.S. Border, Says DHS Report

IMG_2099-640x480.jpg

A recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence report received by the Border Patrol instructs agents to look for Venezuelan inmates released from entering the U.S., according to a source within CBP. The report indicates the Venezuelan government, under the leadership of Nicolás Maduro Moros, is purposely freeing inmates — including some convicted of murder, rape, and extortion.

The intelligence report warns agents the freed prisoners have been seen within migrant caravans traveling from Tapachula, Mexico toward the U.S.-Mexico border as recently as July.

The move is reminiscent of a similar action taken by Cuban dictator Fidel Castro during the Mariel boat lift in the 1980s.

It is a horribly ineffective way.   What is everyone talking about? DC/CH/NY/MV. The GOP has moved the topic of conversation away from the border. Absolute FAIL on their part.  🤦🏻‍♂️

The Point Has Been Made

Everyone’s talking about the dire southern border situation again. It’s about danged time.

Even before the newly-inaugurated Joe Biden began carrying through with his open borders promises in January 2021, a border crisis of staggering proportions was rapidly developing along the southern border of the United States expressly due to what Biden said throughout his campaign that he would do if elected.

“I would, in fact, make sure that there is — we immediately surge to the border. All those people who are seeking asylum, they deserve to be heard,” Biden infamously proclaimed during the third Democratic presidential primary debate in Sept. 2019. “That’s who we are. We’re a nation who says, if you want to flee, and you’re freeing oppression, you should come.”

Obviously, that’s exactly what happened, so much so to the point that we’ve seen record numbers of illegal immigrants cross the border under Biden’s watch since he shut down border construction and scrapped former President Donald Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy, with the “gotaways” (those who slip beyond border enforcement authorities and make it into the country untouched) in 2022 alone numbering in the mid-hundreds of thousands so far.

But while the border crisis made headlines throughout the first few months of Biden’s presidency, it slacked off significantly after the summer months as it was making the Biden-Harris administration look bad, especially considering the fact that Harris wasn’t doing what she was tasked with doing – get to the “root causes” of the border crisis, and after Biden himself faced his own “kids in cages” moment, which outraged even his staunchest defenders.

Now the border crisis is on the front pages again, less than two months before the crucial midterm elections. And we have GOP governors to thank for that: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, all of who essentially told the Biden administration over the last year or so to go pound sand, implementing policies that allow their respective states to bus or fly migrants Joe Biden is dumping on them in the middle of the night to Democrat “sanctuary” communities like Martha’s Vineyard, New York City, Washington, D.C. and Chicago to name a few.

Regardless of where one stands on the issue of open borders and sending migrants to other parts of the country, it’s hard to argue against the point that what Abbott and DeSantis in particular did in the last week was to raise awareness on a national level as to the serious nature of what’s happening in their states along with Democrat double standards and the abject failure of the Biden administration to adequately deal with the crisis, the latter of which is a major concern for both Republican and Independent voters alike:

Yup front page.  And what is being discussed?  The Problem at the border or the stunts being pulled and DeSantis and Newsom exchanging hair care jabs.  Sorry but my opinion still stands.  It's a childish political stunt that will backfire.

Raise awareness on a national level.  HA.  Not really.  And nothing will be done.

Hmmm even the Media darling of the GOP Fox News is not talking about the border but about the stunt.  How do you spell backfire?  This is how you spell backfire.

Oh, they're talking about the border 24/7.  Just because they report other news going on doesn't mean they're not still pushing for Joke's Admin to do something about it.  And the "stunt" is working since Joke's admin is being forced to publicly address it almost daily.  And most everyone realize that the "bad treatment" they're getting is 100X better than what they faced getting to America.

I still believe this was a brilliant stunt (or whatever Chef Jim or anyone else wants to call it). It’s been nearly two years of this nonsense from Biden and Harris and nothing has changed at the border. What’s the definition of insanity again? Come on Kamala….get to work! Or just like OJ looking for the killers, is she still in search of those ‘root causes’.

The best part is that it exposed the left's hypocrisy.

Yea! Kind of like the racist Reverse Freedom Ride:

“Fuming over the civil rights movement, Southern segregationists had concocted a way to retaliate against Northern liberals. In 1962, they tricked about 200 African Americans from the South into moving north. The idea was simple: When large numbers of African Americans showed up on Northern doorsteps, Northerners would not be able to accommodate them. They would not want them, and their hypocrisy would be exposed.”

They even sent them to Kennedys home: https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2020/02/29/809740346/the-cruel-story-behind-the-reverse-freedom-rides

Really? Republicans retaliating against liberals.

Tricked people legally here in the US to go north.

The idea if these people show up at liberal locations, liberals wouldn’t accommodate them to point out hypocrisy.

I guess the only way this is different now is the legal asylum seekers trafficked to MV are suing DeSantis. TX has started a criminal investigation. DOJ may start one as well.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Gee, more useless and fruitless criminal investigations.  I'm shocked!  By the Dems' hypocrisy, I'm not shocked.  Clowns.

There’s been criminal action and civil action here. If you choose to ignore it that’s fine, it won’t stop the criminal investigation or the civil law suit.

But what even you can do is educate yourself. Educate yourself on our past. Educate yourself on the law. It’ll make you less likely duped by these charlatans in the future.

Sure there has.  Just like the past 6 years.
