She was shot just before 7 p.m. Friday, and taken to a hospital in “good condition.” A 13-year-old boy was shot and wounded Sunday morning just before 8 a.m. The boy was on the sidewalk when a vehicle pulled up beside him and someone inside the vehicle opened fire. The boy was struck numerous times and transported to the hospital in critical condition. No outrage. no mention at all. Neighbors called 911 to report a fire and an armed man in the 7500 block of Maury Road, and officers and firefighters arrived together about 6:40 a.m. to find the man outside the burning homes. Four Baltimore County police officers shot at the man, later identified as Everton Brown. After the threat was neutralized, firefighters were able to address the fire. One of the reasons that we have had zero gun murders in my zip code in the past 20 years is bad guys are smart enough to know that half of us have guns and will kill them.
