todays' mock draft.  appreciate feedback.

30.

Buffalo Bills

Alijah Vera-Tucker

IOL, USC

(not sure how he is here, but the guy can play either tackle or guard position.  Upgrade to run and pass blocking).

61.

Buffalo Bills

Jabril Cox

LB, LSU

(much needed 3rd linebacker.  Can cover, rush, etc).

93.

Buffalo Bills

Hamsah Nasirildeen

S, Florida State

(a nice addition who, with Cox, can cover TE's, help in the run game, etc.)

161.

Buffalo Bills

Dazz Newsome

WR, North Carolina

(replacement for McKenzie.  Fast, productive WR, returner, etc).

174.

Buffalo Bills

Shaka Toney

EDGE, Penn State

(small for a DE, but was productive in college.  staff will have to figure out if he can play DE or move to OLB)

213.

Buffalo Bills

Jermar Jefferson

RB, Oregon State

(seems like a speedy back with great receiving ability)

236.

Buffalo Bills

Landon Young

OT, Kentucky

(great run blocker.  I think a steal here.  Will have time to finesse pass pro).

Missed out on a top 1T by drafting Nasirildeen and Dazz.  Prob if I did it again, I'd take the WR from Iowa later and grab an IDL instead of Dazz, but both Shelton and Shevlin were gone then.

More than likely not realistic because Jaelan Phillips is not falling this far but I drafted based on availability, not whether I thought someone would or should be there. I also made several trades down and, historically, Beane is more likely to trade up.

(BOLDED numbers were the Bills' original draft position prior to this mock draft)

30 (1st Round - TRADE): Traded #30 & #93 (3rd Round) to LA Chargers for #47 (2nd Round), #77 (3rd Round), #118 (4th Round), & 2022 2nd Round.

47 (2nd Round): Jaelan Phillips - EDGE Miami (FL) -> Young, athletic Edge rusher needed for the Bills' 4-3 D and offers versatility, as well. Would be an absolute steal here and, as I said, I don't see it being realistic but love it in this scenario.

61 (2nd Round - TRADE): Traded #61 & #118 (4th Round acquired from LAC) to Cleveland for #64 (2nd Round), #110 (4th Round), & 2022 7th Round.

64 (2nd Round): Tommy Togiai - DT Ohio State -> Adds youth at the 1 technique and figures to be the eventual Lotulelei replacement. Very good run defender who should help shore up the middle of the D.

77 (3rd Round): Hamsah Nasirildeen - S Florida State -> Big, physical TE neutralizer that McDermott desires for his D. Scheme versatile and would project to be the 'Big/Buffalo Nickel'.

93 (3rd Round - TRADE): Traded #30 (1st Round) & #93 to LA Chargers for #47 (2nd Round), #77 (3rd Round), #118 (4th Round), & 2022 2nd Round.

110 (4th Round - TRADE): Traded #110 (acquired from LAC) & #236 (7th Round) to Tennessee for #126 (4th Round), #166 (5th Round), #232 (7th Round) & 2022 6th Round.

126 (4th Round): Paulson Adebo - CB Stanford -> Athletic corner with good size (6' 1", 190 lbs). Good ball skills and can play on the outside in McDermott's zone scheme. The more I see of this kid, the more I like him.

161 (5th Round from Las Vegas): Austin Watkins - WR UAB -> Was hoping to land someone with jets and return potential like Eskridge or Newsome but they were both gone by the time I pulled the trigger on a WR. With the addition of Sanders and re-signing of McKenzie, WR took a backseat for me. This kid is intriguing with a nice combo of speed, hands, route running, & vertical ability. Hopefully, he could also carve out a niche on special teams.

166 (5th Round): Garret Wallow - LB TCU -> Played safety at one time and can blitz. A little light but might be able to add a little weight and would eventually slot in at the 'WILL'.

174 (5th Round): Robert Hainsey - OT Notre Dame -> Depth for the o-line. Could be a swing tackle or possibly slide to guard.

213 (6th Round): Chris Evans - RB Michigan -> Went with untapped potential here. He has good cutting ability and the ability to get the big gainers that Singletary and Moss don't. The physical traits are there but his lack of of downs the last couple of years does make him a bit of an unknown/gamble.

232 (7th Round): Brenden Jaimes - OT Nebraska -> More depth for the o-line, specifically right tackle or guard.

236 (7th Round from Carolina - TRADE): Traded to Tennessee along with #110 (acquired from LAC) for #126 (4th Round), #166 (5th Round), #232 (7th Round) & 2022 6th Round.

Future Draft Picks Acquired:

2022 2nd from LAC

2022 6th from TEN

2022 7th from CLE
