Now lets get back to what we are here for. Systematic Genocide being committed right now by COMMUNIST CHINA!!!!

The reason you'll never get a straight response from a leftist on this: the institutionalized genocide of uighurs by communist China doesn't advance their agenda.

Are we serious about "never again" or are we not?

There's more subtle ways of dealing with China. Every one of us needs to make the personal decision to buy as few products from China as possible. Sooner or later they won't be able to sustain and maintain their ships and weapons, especially with their cheap ass construction and steel.

And in the mean time millions are in concentration camps, forced sterilization, organ harvesting of innocent men, women and children.

When one is accustomed to using brute force to solve problems I don't know how you get them to readily transition to another form of dealing with a problem.  What do you propose to make it more favorable for China to change policy?  Many lines of thought there have been in practice for many centuries.  Seems like you might be seeing the problem in China through Western lenses.

Incentivized multilateral trade negotiations, followed by multilateral sanctions as a last resort. Is anyone offering a better solution?

I’m seeing the problem more through anthropological lenses. China likes money just as the West likes money.

Also, China does not have a monopoly on predilections for using brute force to solve problems or to gain economic benefit. See: American post-WW2 foreign policy in the Cold War and in the War on Terror.

...whoa!...WAIT!.......let's just let the world governing body of human decency, ala the United Nations do its job.......they will assuredly right this wrong......

While the UN is definitely a flawed organization, America’s own track record on unilateral international problem solving is not exactly impeccable.

UIGHURS AND MORE: Roger Kimball: Trump has been right about China for years.

Back in the summer of 2015, all the cleverest people made fun of Donald Trump for obsessing about China.

One of them even made a video compilation of the candidate saying ‘China’ over and over again on the hustings. Ha ha ha.

It seems distinctly less funny now.

Indeed.

Don't know what the answer is, but definitely believe our nation should do something.  Sanctions of some sort seem to be called for.

Hopefully our response to this is greater than simply having the First Lady make pouty faces with a sign #BringOurUighersBack.

Maybe not, but it will end the Chinese communist party.

The Chinese Communist Party is not going to be ended by a blockade or use of force. It will only be ended from within, much like they are trying to influence our demise.

Let’s make one thing clear - your party is the one waving confederate flags, shouting Jews will not replace you and flashing swastikas.

But y’all keep up the good work with your pathetic bullschitt.

what is the right doing about this?  Honest question

Nice try with the faux considerate counterpoint.

Apparently you don't see any fault with the dominant LW media.

Then again, maybe you only see things though your crayola rainbow crayons.

When Germany's attempted extermination of the Jews became common knowledge, one of the common reactions was that had the world at large known of the holocaust, we could have put a stop to it. Well, we know about this, so if our compassion is going to be consistent, then something needs to be done to put a stop to China's persecution of the Uyghers. In my opinion, this is exactly the kind of thing that the UN was intended for. I'm not sure the UN is capable of handling something like this anymore, but I believe the world needs to be involved in addressing this, not just the US.

The extremes of both parties are ***** embarrassing. If you say the extreme right is representative of the “party” as a whole you’re a tool. Just as anyone saying what’s been happening in Seattle and Portland is indicative of the left as a whole is also a tool. Stop being a tool.
