I've lost track....where is the sky falling now?

It's in Iowa where their Senator has contracted Covid.  Their governor has now enacted what were previously called, "feel good" measures to counteract it.  At some point you'd think there'd have to be enough foot in mouth moments to convince even the willfully ignorant that this is serious.

They still are "feel good" measures because masks don't work.  Let me guess.  The Red States aren't wearing them?  K.

The stacks of swiss cheese theory is legit the dumbest load of crap of all times.  As is our response to an airborne virus with a 99.99% survival rate.

Cases!!!

Month 9 of 15 days to slow the spread......

I would think the most important indicator is the number of people in the ICU of hospitals not false positives.

Deaths trail cases by about two weeks as healthy people who contracted it give it to grandma.  You're starting to see the increase already and it'll pry get to above 2,000 a day by next week.  Any part of the country that hasn't been hit hard yet will eventually as this thing just burns through a population with or without a lockdown.  I'm getting a damn haircut asap.

Great news. Pfizer to apply for approval within days. 170 out of 44,000 patients in the study got Covid. Of those 170, 162 had received the placebo.

Excellent excellent news!

Don’t let them fool you. Kamala said if it was made under Trump’s watch, it’s gotta be garbage.

After watching Cuomo's press conference today I guess WNY has failed him.  Going to an orange zone is just a bullet to the head of the restaurants, gyms, hair salons, etc... that barely survived the first lockdown.  Also, no federal assistance for soon to be laid off workers.

It's amazing what will be mandated all in the pursuit of the Holy Grail......universal health care.

Right now, there a millions of New Yorkers that saw and read this in complete approval of the Fuher's tone and policy.

And they spent the last 4 years saying this is why Trump is a fascist bully.

Heads exploding everywhere.

Gov. Cuomo lashes out at reporters at briefing where he dodged NYC school closure

Gov. Andrew Cuomo quickly unraveled during a press briefing Wednesday, scolding a veteran reporter for what he described was an “obnoxious” and “offensive” tone — and that was just the first question.

The governor got heated after Wall Street Journal reporter Jimmy Vielkind asked Cuomo during an afternoon Albany press briefing whether New York City public schools will stay open or not amid rising statewide coronavirus infection rates.

“Alright, first of all, let’s try not to be obnoxious and offensive in your tone. Because you’re 100-percent wrong,” Cuomo scolded Vielkind before raising his voice.

..Vielkind asked, “Does the city have the ability to close its schools, are you now taking control saying you have the power to make this decision? And for the millions of parents who want to know — are the schools going to open tomorrow in New York City?”

“If you were paying attention you would’ve known that we closed the schools in New York City two weeks ago,” Cuomo said, referring to then-hot spot zones in Brooklyn and Queens.

The governor then barked, “Follow the facts!”

Vielkind responded that he was “still confused” and that “parents are still confused as well.”

“Well, then you’re confused,” Cuomo railed. “No, they’re not confused, you’re confused.”

“But will they [New York City schools] be open tomorrow? That’s the question. I think Jimmy’s correct in asking that question. I don’t think it’s obnoxious at all,” McKinley said.

Cuomo then fired back, “Well, I don’t really care what you think. Of course, you agree with him because you’re in the same business with him.

NYC schools will close after the city reached a 3% Covid positivity rate threshold

New York City is closing down its public school buildings starting on Thursday after the city's 7-day average reached the 3% positive testing rate threshold. All students will transition to remote learning.

Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted that schools are being closed out of "an abundance of caution."

CNN has obtained a copy of a letter sent Wednesday from New York City School Chancellor Richard Carranza to families and students that confirms all school buildings will be closed beginning November 19, and students will transition to remote learning.

"Given recent increases in transmission, we have reached a point in our City's infection rate that requires all students to transition to remote learning," Carranza wrote in the letter.

Carranza's letter indicated that all families and students can continue to go to any school building between 9 a.m. and noon to pick up three free grab and go meals.
