I thought we might have been asleep at the wheel (yeah, Buddy, you scarred me!), but it seems Allen was really the guy and they knew where they could get him. They didn’t have to pay to get up to #2, and they seemed to be confident in that. If the current trends continue, this may look like pure genius in 5 years. No firm proclamations or guarantees, but real optimism. Lamar is today’s darling, but I still worry about that style of play and his size. It will work....until it doesn’t. But it sure is fun to watch (when they are NOT playing the Bills). If I could have one Super Power, it just might be to become invisible in the Bills Draft Room and know what they were REALLY thinking!
