JESSEFEFFER Posted September 9, 2019 Share Posted September 9, 2019 Fixing the o-line was priority #1A for Beane. It looked fixed. Nice pocket most plays, some nasty finishes, athletic movement on outside runs. The whiff by Dawkins may have been because he was gassed by the pace and number of plays. That is a thing for 300+ lb. players. The penalties were nearly nonexistant. He might actually be riding the pine (not the worst thing in the world right now). Ford started at RT, but didn't have the best couple of series and he was benched for Ty, then they started rotating series. But Ty got the entire 4th quarter I think. Feliciano is a stud, he needs to start at RG, period. Dawkins, Spain, Morse and Feliciano look to be pretty set, and played pretty damn good against a great d-line in week 1. If he sits, that means we are talented and deep enough to bring him along slow and not rush him. If we HAD to play him due to a lack of good options, I would be concerned. yungmack Posted September 9, 2019 Share Posted September 9, 2019 It was the first real game this line has played together, with a center who hadn't really played with them at all, and they looked like a solid, middle-of-the-pack NFL unit. So two false starts and an ineligible downfield in terms of penalties on the oline play (taunting comes under general discipline for me). Seems a step over last year. It looked like Josh wanted the ball and the rest of the offense was ready to go but Morse forgot the snap count.
