My favorite Allen play from last week doesn't show up on the stat sheet..The Aaron Rodgers Special

So probably my favorite play from the Jet game is when Allen forced the DE Offside , had the awareness the flag was thrown and just chucked one up to I believe Zay Jones, resulting in a pass interference and a 30-40 yard gain! Aka the Aaron Rodgers special.

This is super heady for a rookie and something Rodgers has made a living doing on a consistent basis in Green Bay. The next thing that crossed my mind after being super super impressed by this heady, veteran like play was how I remember Tyrod Taylor NEVER taking advantage of offside penalties. I was on BBMB at that time but we definitely had a few discussions about Tyrod just not having the awareness to take advantage of the offside . Just another example that this kid has tons of potential and another example of a great, veteran play that wont show up on the stat sheet and eventually resulted in a Bills TD.

Haven't seen this particular play discussed on here, as I'm sure many posters felt very refreshed seeing Allen make that throw , especially after 3 years of Taylor failing to ever come close to making that type of play.

You’re right, Aaron Rodgers is the only one. Ever.

Lol. It's just that Rodgers seems to make a living off that, it feels like he's doing that every time i see the Pack play . He was the player that came to mind when Allen threw the deep ball knowing the D was Offside, Rodgers consistently will chuck it deep when the D is Offside. Not many QBs do . I just thought it was a very heady play for a rookie , and again, our previous QB would never make a throw like that, as he seemed to be stuck in his head, nervous in the pocket and didn't trust his throwing ability, so Taylor was thinking, while Allen just reacted and made a veteran throw there.

It was, Jersey.  Don't know why mr. fixit is being douchy about it.  It's a heady play, that you WANT your QB to make.  But especially heady for a rook.  And I was as big a Tyrod Taylor fan as there was, but he didn't do it often (if ever).  I'm wondering if it's b/c he couldn't see over his line to see it happening! LOL!

Too many sensitive people around here. It’s a common play QB’s make. Has been forever.

It’s not something that anyone refers to as the Aaron Rodgers special.

Hence why I said it.

So pull up your pants and act like a human.
