This really is what I am talking about regarding QBs

Some other team is great because they got said QB.....until they dont.

The truth is......while ppl B word about a guy like the Lions starter......he has been pretty consistant for years even if he is not one of the "Top 5"

We have seen guys like Dak Prescott......Carr......now Wentz fall by the wayside for one reason or another.......

No, that report wasn’t from the team. It was from Ian  rapaport. Also, it was the opposite circumstance. AJ ended up having a much less serious injury than what was reported by rapaport.

....even before Ian, thought somebody posted something from some doc's internet speculation that it was the collarbone.........prolly got his MD shingle from Amazon....

Carson Wentz Injury Update: Eagles QB out with back injury, Philly should shut him down for season

The Eagles have a very interesting situation on their hands with Carson Wentz, who is dealing with a fractured back that Doug Pederson said could keep him out of action for up to three months. It will officially keep him out for Sunday night (8:15 p.m., NBC, stream on fuboTV, try for free) in Los Angeles, as the Eagles announced on Saturday morning he wouldn't play against the Rams.

If the Eagles are smart -- and I think the Eagles are smart -- they should shut him down for the rest of the season.

Wentz has a long history of battling injuries in his short career. There was the torn ACL Wentz suffered last year (against the Rams in Los Angeles, actually). Wentz suffered broken ribs in his first game in the NFL. He dealt with a fractured wrist in college. And according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Wentz' medical report at the combine in 2016 referred to a healed stress fracture that Wentz battled while playing for North Dakota State.

Pederson was a bit touchy and evasive about the situation on Friday when asked about Wentz' status -- the quarterback was listed as questionable on the Eagles Friday injury report before being downgraded to out on Saturday.

Here's his exchange with reporters:

Foles can make himself a hot commodity this offseason as a UFA.  The Eagles must be confident in Nate Sudfeld moving forward as the backup to Wentz.

Foles didn’t look so good though during the preseason or his starts.  But maybe he gets hot again? Though like a few said ,  it’s Foles Gold lol.

Nick Foles can handle a couple games.  He's in kind of a nice position, actually.  He doesn't have to take a beating week after week, but he gets to play once in a while.  He receives a very nice salary.  The team wins when he plays, and he even gets a good chunk of credit for winning the Super Bowl.

I don’t watch every Eagles game by any stretch, but to my eye Foles looks better and their offense functions differently with him at QB. Doesn’t mean a thing , but who knows what the Eagles think of the situation. If Foles guides them to a playoff berth and possibly a deep run, their QB situation will be a real thing. Personally, I hope it doesn’t happen because it would mean HOU losing @ PHL which would greatly help the Patriots seeding. An interesting situation in Philly nonetheless.

ANALYSIS

David Carr speaks from personal experience when he says that Carson Wentz shouldn't play another snap in 2018. Plus, see how Week 15 affected his latest offensive player rankings.

The Philadelphia Eagles have to feel a sense of déjà vu right about now.

The Eagles are back where they started almost exactly a year ago, when quarterback Carson Wentzsuffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 14, and Nick Foles stepped in to lead the team to its first-ever Super Bowl title. Last week, it was reported that Wentz has a fracture in his back. Then, he did not play in Sunday's game versus the Los Angeles Rams, and Foles led the Eagles to a season-saving win. Following the victory, head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that the veteran will start in Week 16, and that Wentz will NOT go on IR despite his fractured back.

Luckily for the Eagles, Doug Pederson is smart enough to recognize who Carson Wentz and Nick Foles are.

One is a flash in the pan backup and the other is a franchise QB who's had a bit of bad luck.

I love Allen, but it would be amazing if he can duplicate the success Wentz has had when he's on the field.

I'm guessing Angelo Cataldi with Rhea and the crew doing the morning show, Wing Bowls and Miss WIP. Al Morganti was also on, but Angelo was the ring leader.

Eskin calling his callers dopes, nitwits and morons. If a woman called he would ask why she was out of the kitchen and what they were making for dinner.

Liked Jody Mac for some sanity.

Big Daddy Graham overnight.

Good times in Philly. Late 90's to early 2000's were a fun time to be there.
