  1. Have you actually read the book or just the amazon teaser? All of the case study cities listed have built or renovated (Chicago) major stadiums in their downtown area since the book was published over 20 years ago.
  2. It seems like a missed narrative in the media so far this week is the fact that Jerry Hughes was on the team for the entirety of Greg Roman's tenure as OC for the Buffalo Bills. So my question is: how much has his playbook reallychanged since then? This, to me, seems like a huge advantage for the defensive game plan and, presumably, why they were successful in containing Lamar for most of the game last year.
  3. It's not unreasonable for the Ravens to fly out of Dulles.
  4. Right-handed QBs tend to scramble more to their right. Josh was terrible throwing on the run this year and also learned to throw the ball away more often leading to more incompletions.
  5. Lyrics are "won't you step into the freezer" aka the Ralph in December.
  6. It's easier to fill a TV show w/ highlights of Lev Bell, Josh Rosen, and N'Keal Harry than Quinton Spain and Ty Nsekhe.
  7. I'm just as much of a homer as anyone but you have to be out of your mind to think that Cole Beasley and John Brown are on the same level as Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel. But, yes, both off-seasons involved signing 2 WRs.
  8. I took it to mean he only throws to wide open receivers.
  9. CBD is technically a legal substance as of the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill. This bill allows for industrial hemp production which, broadly, allows for all cannabis products with less than .3% THC.
  10. I think this is a misleading title. What the rotoworld post is saying is that the optics of being a healthy scratch this game implies he's getting cut/not in the future plans not that some not that someone came up to him and said "you're getting cut this off season". No need to over-sensationalize something we all already know.
  11. I scanned this thread very quickly but there was a provision that all of the contract's guaranteed money voided if he was disciplined by the league.
  12. The worst kept secret of this thread is that matter2003 is an idiot... and probably a virgin.
  13. I just looked real quick and RB was not in any pictures of the Edmunds/Allen trip to OBD or in the draft war room gallery (at least, a picture of him in focus). They knew he was getting canned before the draft.
  14. Exactly! But if a team thought they could get better field position by kicking off they would still be able to. They should make it a live ball within a 10 yard window here onsides kicks generally are further reducing incentive to run downfield at full speed.
  15. They should just decrease the penalty for kicking it out of bounds. If they made that the same as touchback, more teams would do it. You'd be reducing the problem by simply reducing the amount of times it could happen while preserving the overall mechanics of the action.
  16. I think in this case her qualifications are moot when it comes to the on-field product. They Pegulas are intentionally clearing the room and trimming the fat to further unencumber the football guys to do their job. The biggest task managers have is to allow their employees to do their jobs the best they can. One of the most useful traits a manager can have is to step back and empower their employees to do their jobs. Brandon was a necessary evil at first as the Pegulas were new to NFL ownership and they had no idea if McDermott would work out when hired. They had just endured the (albeit self-imposed) Rex Ryan show and needed some stability.
  17. Would be crazy if Russ was the leak b/c a reporter had the dirt on his improprieties. A situation like that would support this statement: " but the investigation indicated he was deceitful about that and other job-related issues that were uncovered"
