Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

The biggest problem facing Trump is that Democrats are not asleep at the wheel anymore. Many people either stayed home or just laughed and voted from Trump thinking, what could go wrong?

Well, now the completely incompetent, hateful jerk of a president has been in full view for all to see, and a huge majority of Americans say they hate what they have seen. It's the opposite situation and then some of 2016. Voters didn't love Hillary and the right was energized. Today, the strong, good and true left is ready to vote against Trump.

Yeah, but that doesn't bother me. How many words, that we use regularly, can we actually define if asked?

She did use the word correctly for her BS.

It's more along the lines of the entire interview. She said something. Didn't know what it meant. They started to spew other items without being able to back it up an any way. It shows that she is just repeating things without actually knowing what she is saying.

The Democrats are not asleep at the wheel anymore?  You are not even trying anymore.  I know that the Soros cubicle farm has quotas but you have to try harder than this.

I would see packing it in totally on 2020 as a wise move for anyone with ambitions for a clear run in 2024.

Hence Chelsea Clinton counting her Clinton Foundation money on a snowy New York afternoon.  She still needs to run for Congress in my mind for 2020 with the intent of a POTUS run 2024 or afterward.

In my mind she is not out of 2020 until she misses the filing deadline in NY or RI or wherever she plans her start up.  It's not so much her outright but Hillary's ego run amok.  Kind of like a honor roll student's mother already having Harvard picked out for the kid even though the kid is in 8th grade.

Chelsea will be 39 in a few weeks so it is no longer early in terms of making a Congressional run.

Let's discuss the primary message being pushed by Democrats right now, since they are no longer asleep at the wheel.

Based on the dozen or so declared candidates, it appears to be:

  • Take everyone's money.
  • Open the borders completely.
  • Ban all guns.
  • Take more of everyone's money.
  • Murdering babies is cool.

Did I miss anything?

Oh. Wait. I forgot to add one more: Take everyone's money.

To cite DeBlasio...The problem isn't that there is no money. There's plenty of money. The problem is it's in the wrong hands.

That's a winning strategy, leftists. Run with it.

I got shaken down by a group of homeless folk today at lunch for having a straw. They screamed at everyone coming out of the coffee shop to give them money or they'd call the cops on me for "possession of plastic straws".

 Cracked me up.

Speaking of funny:

This is so no Democrat will ever be "cheated" out of the Presidency again. The Constitution is so 1787.

But seriously, why would a state want to do this? Anyhoooo the Supreme Court should have fun with this one.

Because they're idiots who don't understand states' rights.  And I believe the states can apportion their electors however they choose, ergo it's not a federal issue and the SCOTUS has no standing.

But it'll be a hoot to watch the next time a Republican wins the popular vote while Colorado swings Democrat and they retroactively try to reapply the electoral college.

states can set up anything they want to do.

i would welcome California and New York giving electoral votes to the popular proportion

I’m running to fight for Medicare for All, universal pre-K, debt-free college & more. To guarantee middle-class families a pay increase of up to $500/mo with the largest working-class tax cut in decades — paid for by reversing this Admin’s gifts to big corporations & the top 1%.

It always shocks me when the GOP ever wins any election.

The Dems offer a total free ride from erection to resurrection, no personal responsibility for criminal or other pathological behaviour that destroys you and your family and neighbourhood, all to be paid by other people who work for a living.
