I don't think the Pegulas signed off on this

Man you're all kinds of twisted up. You were for trading picks to get a QB, but against trading guys to get the picks to trade up for a QB?

The Eagles nor Rams had to dismantle their entire roster to trade up and get their QB. Why did the Bills have to?

Is it because these two think they can win with their guys and their culture and don't need the talent?

How many spots did the eagles have to move up?

And the Rams? Come on man, you KNOW they were in the catbird seat for that draft, they were HORRIBLE the year prior. Try harder.

Beane created this cap mess.

Taylor could have been kept,

Glenn could have been kept

Dareus could have been kept

Darby could have been kept

Watkins could have been kept

That is a lot of talent that the current GM chose not to keep and create this cap mess. Beane is doing something. Neithre you nor I know if it is the right thing to do or not.

And what’s the point of having any of these players if they aren’t part of the core moving forward?

Tyrod please we we don’t need him he’s a bum.

glenn was expendable because of Dawkins and we needed that trade in order to get our qb.

Dareus contract was a disaster and am now glad we are out of it even with the dead cap space this year.

darby doesn’t matter since we had Gaines which is the only thing I don’t get. I would have kept Gaines.

watkins was a diva that wanted a boatload of money and there was no guarantee he was even going to stay here. How would giving a wr a ton of money going to help you with your cap problems moving forward on a rebuilding team which you know he wouldn’t want a part of.

For better or worse this this team has to take its lumps this year and acquire young talent that fits around the core of the team in Allen edmunds Dawkins white Milano.

Trade down!  So many needs.  Also, rest shady and then trade him to a team with need of his skills.  If it's not to be a part of 2021 then it's clutter.

So after 2019, from this you dont plan on being good in 2020 either?

2021 is the time to strike, 4 years from now, when Josh Allens rookie contract is up?

Yea, because I really want Josh Allen learning from Nate freaking Peterman.

Glenn or Dawkins could have been shifted to guard for this upcoming season.

Dareus is playing for the top defense in the NFL. But hey we have lovable meatballs Kyle Williams (Gone after this year) and Harrison Phillips. Also a non-existent Star Loutoulelei.

Considering the Bills now have to go dumpster diving for CBs this week since they only have tre White left, I'd say he matters quite a bit.

All the good WR's are divas. Brown, Beckham, Jones, etc etc. WR are divas. It comes with the position.

The Eagles were

2013 - 10-6

2014 - 10-6

2015 - 7-9

Rams were

2013 - 7-9

2014 - 6-10

2015 - 7-9

Before Goff and Wentz were drafted.

IMO there was no need for McBean to gut everyone in the name of process. That plan screams incompetence to me that people, McBeane, don't really know what they are doing outside of their plan to get a QB(which I did agree with on how they went about that). It's easy to rid a team of it's talent it's much much harder to replace it as so many things factor into the rebuild.

OK, so which team was Beane going to abuse like Philadelphia did Cleveland? NO ONE in the top 3 was trading out from those positions for what Philadelphia paid.

It's called Reality.

2020 would be fantastic but likely unrealistic; how is that bills fans lack patience?  Odd.

2019 will be a huge influx of young blood and 2020 could be a good target for our first playoff win in decades.  2021-2026 seem like the years we are hopeful for to me.  Kelly started as a bill in 1986 and 4-12.  I remember the build up years of 88 and 89 very fondly and then, of course, the 90-93 SB years.

They didn't need to trade to 1. Allen was taken at 7

or they could have had Mahomes by just standing pat in 2017.

And let me guess, you think Mahomes would look like he is now here. Right?

IDK, no one ever knows if they are a bust or not but they could have drafted him without trading anything.

Look, I just don't think there was a need for a complete tear down. Sure there was needs, holes, cap problems, etc but I think McBean took it too far.

So because you didn't think it was necessary means they don't know what they're doing? Help me understand.

haha I like this OP. They got swindled. Beane is like some charlatan taking rich people's money and telling them "I have a process, no you don't see it on the field, but it's coming." And he'll just keep doing that until the Pegulas wise up.

Let me guess...more humor?

Most overly emotional post of the day congrats.

There's just no way that I can come up with a scenario that Terry and Kim signed off on a total "tear it down" and rebuild plan.  Certainly not to be the laughinstocks of the NFL.
He has gone through years of pain dealing with that on the NHL side.  Now I get that McBeane sold to them in the offseason,, that Buffalo has to get through a season with a ton of dead cap money, and will have to work in a rookie QB.  But I also believe they were told they have a gamer in Peterman, a vet in McCarron to stabilize the ship, a solid Defense coming off a playoff season...
and some free agents to add to the mix.  I have no doubt the Pegulas were told they might take a step back, but no way they would become a league joke and risk alienating his football fanbase
like what happened to his NHL fansbase.   In the NFL, you don't have to SUCK to build a winner.  What you do is you stay relevant and reload at the positions of need as attrition happens.

If I were the Pegulas, I'd be walking around pissed off today.  Yes=- Allen looks decent but the amount of holes they have to fill are staggering.  Some of the players McBeane thought
would be decent are not playing well or have been flat out released. I don't get some of their roster moves. For example, why would a team desperate for a good, solid posssession receiver would get rid of O'Leary and keep Logan Thomas?  That dude can't play the position or be trusted to catch a pass.

Overall, the McBeane era has taken a huge hit this year for me.  I had a ton of faith in them, but it's wavering.

Why not they signed off on it for the Sabres?
