Toronto has hair-trigger policing, sometimes in batches that are unseemly for a society that doesn't care about guns all that much

Canada doesn't have a death penalty, the last attempt to re-instate in the late 1980s??? resulted in a clear majority of English Canada for it and practically 100% of French Canada against it by vote of Parliament.

edit: 1987 was the last vote to re-instate. 73% supported it at that vote, it was defeated 148-127 with our Socialist Party and all Quebec MPs against it. Even if it had passed and re-instated there is no way that the death penalty would be carried out in Canada.

We ship our garbage to Michigan.

Why not ship our First Degree Murderers to Texas? I am sure they would dispose of them properly ;)

BTW my prayers and condolences to all those affected by this senseless tragedy.

Yeah, I said that.  What's your point?

God wasn't created in 1982, and he/she/it sure the heck ain't a megalomaniac Millennial Snowflake=Deplorable.

:D

The commandment (that I posted) forbids idolatry, the worship of false gods and goddesses, and it excludes polytheism, the belief in many gods, insisting instead on monotheism, the belief in one God. This commandment forbids making golden calves, building temples to Isis, and worshipping statues of [Full Name Redacted] Boyst, for example.

:P

all good stuff appreciated, some people are really upset here...

fortunately we only have a few eligibles for the death penalty at a given moment, I lose interest quickly on developments when the outcome is preset

At the very least, Texas would put them in their prison rodeos.  That's the only place that uses convicts for public entertainment.

he is ELIGIBLE for parole after his 25 years served, there is no way he's getting out, last I heard he was filing grievances that his take-out chicken dinner from Swiss Chalet was cold

his darling wife, who was in full participation, is tracked down by our large tabloid newspaper to show how she is living after lying her way into complete amnesty

actually, I met Paul and talked to him for 15 minutes during a summer when he was on his rampages, I didn't realize until he was arrested that that was who it was....

i know two women whose ID was returned to them, seized in the horror house after it all went down.  they guess that this ID was stolen from their purse while Paul and his wife were trolling bars looking for another victim. they weren't too thrilled to have this returned to them.

What paper tracked her down? Had to be The Toronto Sun. Love that paper.

Kinda creepy you talked to that guy. I felt creeped out living only 20 miles from him when it was going on.

I was studying in my hometown library for accounting exams and he was also in the reading room with the same books, so i walked over struck up a conversation with him, my hometown is a useless place for academics (mostly) so it was great to see someone else studying....  :D yay!!!

I said that a certain question, ITAR-220 or something, was usually on the audit pre-ads and reached for one of his books to show him the page and he went BALLISTIC and screamed at me not to dare touch his bleeping book!!!

so i quickly apologized and went back to my stack of books and then knew it was him when he was arrested a year later, he was an accounting student at a Big 6 or 8 firm in the Toronto area, co-workers jokingly put up the suspect sketch for the Scarborough Rapist in his cubicle because it looked like him...  :(

a murder of a woman who called in stranded on the 403 near my city was never solved, they figure he and she did it, i guess he was out my way at the time for furtherance of his escapades...

I could do it and go to a Ruby Tuesday's salad bar immediately after whistling Dixie.  I'm essentially a sociopath, though and have no soul.

I find this very hard to believe.

(I mean, just the part about you eating salad.)
