Josh Rosen overrated?

Rosen is exceptional in a clean pocket , not so much when it breaks down.

Really not buying this. Yeah, he's very good in a clean pocket. But he moves very well - not athletically but he moves to the right place - when he's pressured. Nobody's as good when under pressure but Rosen handles it pretty well.

This dude makes a lot of good points in this video about Rosen being overrated.

I'm starting to think our best bet might be to trade up to 1st overall with Cleveland and grab Sam Darnold.

Yup. If in doubt, always go with SchlegdaddyTV.com

He seems really calm and reasoned.

You shouldn't hold your breath.

If Rosen was just another boring personality, he would be the clear number 1 in the draft. People are way over thinking him. He is mechanically better than other QB in the draft, he reads the field better than any QB in the draft. He has on field maturity better than any QB in the draft. Sometimes people need to stop looking for issues that aren't there.

I like how he intimates that Josh Rosen may like to use cocaine since he is rich.  I follow UCLA football intensely and that's the first time I've heard that rumor.

He did put a hot tub in his room.......and if you connect the dots........hot tubs,coke...... ;)

I thought he was overrated before this smuck came along.

Give me a guy who had to fight for everything.......like Mayfield.

How did Rosen not have to fight to become

the QB he is today? Rosen might have rich parents, but it’s not like you get handed anything on the football field. He had to work just as hard as Mayfield to become a highly rated NFL prospect.

I guess we can revisit this in 3 or 4 years and see who is better and who is a bust.

I honestly believe a lot of the haters hate him for 'political' reasons.

I know, I know... this thread is headed to PPP now.

Well actually thats why I like him.

Oh, yeah, then there's that football thingy too.

He's not overrated. This is a pretty good QB class, and he's a clear cut above the other prospects at this stage of their careers.

Fair enough. I just don’t understand the narrative that Rosen didn’t have to fight for everything. The guys lining up across from him didn’t him a break because he was privileged.

I am not sold on west coast QB's coming north east to play.

I used to preach this narrative on the board myself. It’s easy for me to relate to this sentiment. However, I’ve completely changed my mind on this topic. As population numbers of the country continue to shift, the days of the western PA QB are over. The majority of QB prospects hail from much warmer areas than the northeast in December and January. Mayfield grew up in Texas, and the Big 12 in the fall is much different than Orchard Park in the fall. Maybe, if you said you’re afraid SoCal guys, I might understand. It’s more of a personality concern than a climate climate concern though.

Rosen is UNDER rated.  He is clearly the best QB on the field, yet people talk as if Allen and Darnold could go #1.  It is those two who are over rated, and very much so.

Rosen is the best QB in the draft at handling the rush.  He is the only one in the draft that slips and slides, while keeping his feet, rather than looks to.bounce outside.  He is like Tom Brady in the pocket. Mayfield is second best at this. No one in this conversation has the athleticism to continue this practice at the NFL level.

My only hope for Rosen fallings to #2 is that the Browns pick #1 and they are dumb.
