Past contracts would have been 5 yr/$144M/$87 guaranteed. Minnesota still out after 3 if they want, but get the 2 extra if he plays great. This could be the contract we look at in 10 years as the start of shorter, fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL..i am sure the other owners going to be might cranky with the Wolff's on this. NBA is fully guaranteed max of 4 years, 5 in a supermax "Derrick Rose rule" deal Cousins is again betting on himself for 3 years that he will play like all all-pro and then cash-in again at age 33.
