Robert Griffin III - should Bills consider him for backup QB?

Recommended Posts

With our QB situation, could adding RG3 do any harm?  Seems he is a Bills fan.

Not sure about this Griffith guy but I’d be okay with Robert Griffin. He’s been out a year and may have healed some. If you are going to be playing in bad weather his mobility could be an asset. I don’t hold Cleveland against anyone. He could be a decent option of it comes to that. We played Joe Webb last week.

I was a RGIII fan in his rookie season and was dismayed to see his skills fall off a cliff. Ofcourse Shanahan Sr started his decline but it is too bad he didnt recover.

One thing to check is if the needed healing is physical or mental. Is he damaged beyond hope or can he be coached back to his rookie form ?

Can we please not turn every discussion into a TT bash fest ?

Should we consider the Chargers game history as well?

History says Hotrod plays well vs Fish.

Griffin's career passer rating is virtually identical to TT's this year.

You could probably do worse. We already have.

RG3 might be a decent body for next season if we jettison TT. Not bad.

Agree. We could get him on the cheap most likely and taking a flier on a guy like him is never a bad idea.

Are you serious?  Dumping Hotrod to go with Robert Griffin?  Even the Bills aren't dumb enough to do that.

Cmon man, you know that a guy not on the Bills roster is better than what we have.  Like I always tell my neighbor, the best QB in town is the one on the bench or not even on the roster until you have to play said QB and he craps the bed.

The most popular guy on the team is the backup QB that has never played (or not very much).

Until he has to play and subsequently throws up all over himself.
