2017 NFL Schedule Predictions

Recommended Posts

Same record last year with inept coaching and Rex trying to save Robs career.

We have no idea on depth yet. Many fa's signed, draft next week and guys coming back from injury. This team could be as good as any in the afc outside of the pats.

And if McDermott can really coach, we might all be in for a surprise.

Good as any except the Pats-not a chance. Pitt., Oakland, KC, for sure are better.

The defense is why the Bills missed the playoffs in 2016, not the offense. And now the offense is down more players. TT is the least of this team's problems.

Taylor is a serviceable starting NFL QB in the same vein as Fitzpatrick. If you want to actually make the playoffs and aspire to becoming relevant again in the NFL then he will need to be replaced. So logically speaking, he needs to be replaced irregardless of the defense. BTW, Taylor gets to have McCoy, Watson and Clay. It’s not like he’s starving for playmakers to help him out.

I listened to the Pegula Sabres presser this morning and he says the past doesn't matter ... so there.

Also said he was going to be more involved in the hiring of the Sabres GM and HC, then got irritated when someone asked him if he was going to be more involved hiring the Bills new GM ;)

Like last season when Watkins missed numerous games. Taylor is better than Fitz. Taylor is not a turnover machine.

Talk is cheap.

If they didn't blow the late lead against Miami they would have been in the playoffs. They can absolutely make the playoffs with Taylor. The Bills got better QB play last year than KC, Miami, and Houston and they were all in the playoffs in the AFC. Now I agree that they can't win a Super Bowl with him but the playoffs are attainable with TT.

It's possible. But some now only want a QB that will win a SB. As if the playoffs are a slap in the face to the fans. Ridiculous.

Coaching has kept this team out of the playoffs the past 2 years. Way too many close games decided by blunders or lack of discipline.

We don't know what we have in McDermott, but I love what I've seen so far. If he can turn this talented team into a disciplined, motivated unit that actually shows up to play each week, 10-6 or even 11-5 is possible.

From an optimistic viewpoint I see the weak Carolina defense as vulnerable. Denver has no elite QB. We destroyed Cinncy last year. The Charger, Saints & Colts games are winnable. If we can beat Carolina and start 2-0 it could be a very interesting year? Maybe Brady and Ajayi go down with injuries mid year? And on a final note the Raiders notoriously play horrible in Buffalo. Tampa is at home, not on the road. That should be a win.

Tampa has a much better QB. I think Jameis will carve our zone D up like a turkey.

This season is looking good.

WEEK 1 JETS 1-0 "Cake anyone?"

WEEK 2 @ CAROLINA 2-0 Cam Newton isn't good against the Bills defense, they have beaten the Panthers with worse talent on offense and at QB

WEEK 3 DENVER 3-0 No QB, Travel across country and the Cowboys defensive line/Elliot will be putting a hurting on Denver's D-Line.

WEEK 4 @ ATLANTA 3-1, good draft and they will probably be back in the Super Bowl

WEEK 5 @ CINCINNATI 4-1, Good Match up, I think they can make Dalton play worse than the Bengals and Tyrod.

WEEK 6 YUM!

WEEK 7 TAMPA 5-1 This game should be fun to watch. I have a win just b.c our defense should be much better

WEEK 8 LAS VEGAS 6-1 on a !@#$ing roll!

WEEK 9 @ JETS 7-1, "We will be serving pie"

WEEK 10 NEW ORLEANS 7-2 Stumble...

WEEK 11 @ LA CHARGERS 7-3, tough road game

WEEK 12 @ KANAS CITY 8-3, The Bills finally beat a team they always destroy for most of the game, they finally don't make those few mistakes the previous regiments used to...

WEEK 13 NEW ENGLAND 8-4 Loss...

WEEK 14 INDIANAPOLIS 9-4 Indy Defense still won't be good enough to help Luck out who struggles against the Bills

WEEK 15 MIAMI 10-4, Beat the Dolphins at home.

WEEK 16 @ NEW ENGLAND 10-5 Loss...

WEEK 17 @MIAMI 10-6 Bills lose this game... Will they make the playoffs... Don't know

2017 NFL schedule: Record predictions, analysis for all 32 teams

http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/235535/2017-nfl-schedule-predicted-records-for-all-32-nfl-teams

AFC EAST

Buffalo Bills

Predicted record: 6-10

New Bills coach Sean McDermott gets a break by avoiding all four games against division foes New England and Miami until December. But early trips to Carolina (Week 2) and Atlanta (Week 4) will not make it easy on the first-year head coach as he adjusts to his new gig and tries to reverse the failures of the Rex Ryan era. McDermott’s early message to his team is to “respect the process,” and while the Bills are not in full rebuild mode, their roster is not constructed to contend in 2017. -- Mike Rodak

well said. Bills are in no mans land, not contenders nor rebuilding to contend. no mans land. basically he's saying we suck.

at least Cleveland admits they're in full rebuild mode. Bills playing a game with mirrors.

It was more than just a late lead against Miami

It also includes the Raiders game where they stopped using Sammy in the 2nd half when he was very effective in the 1st half.

We can also point to the Seattle game where the Bills couldn't finish with a TD. Yes the refs didn't help them with their poor calls.

Blowing the first JETS game was part of it too.

Get those 3 and then we could talk playoffs.

It is irrelevant though because they still would have been there. You can always point to a bad game or a good game. I am talking about a game where the Bills took the lead with 1:20 seconds to go and couldn't hold it. You probably hold that lead 9 out of 10 times. The Bills finished top 10 in PPG & top 10 in offensive DVOA. They would have been a little higher without the no show in week 17. The offense wasn't the problem. They absolutely did enough to be a playoff team (not a contender but a playoff team).

The Bills lost 6 games where they scored at least 24 points!! I just looked at Miami for a comparison and they lost 1 such game (to New England). The Chiefs lost zero such games, the Texans zero such games, the Patriots 1 such game, the Raiders 1 and the Steelers 1. If you are keeping score at home the Bills lost 6 games where they scored at least 24 points and the AFC playoff teams combined lost 4 such games. In 6 of the 9 Bills losses they scored at least 24 points. In 4 of the 28 losses of the playoff teams they scored at least 24 points.

The defense was the main problem in 2016, not the offense. offense scored enough points to win most games.

LOL

Now that's funny.

Q. Is Jerry a TT fan?

If so then you hit the nail on the head.

Taylor is the least of this team's problems. The defense never came close to what it was supposed to be.
