Would have plugged a hole at WR, and bolstered the STs play.Looks to be a guy who once he gets opportunities, takes them. And it seems as though he's just looking for opportunities, as much as anything, as I think the Bucs would have kept him, but he'd be down the depth chart after they signed Jackson. Posted March 10, 2017 Share Posted March 10, 2017 here's hoping Colby Listenbee can play I agree, this is why I think we will take a WR at 10 and with CB being the deepest position in the draft and also a huge need our 2nd pick will be a CB. He reminds me of our Logan Thomas snag at the end of last year. It's becoming more common for former HS/College Qb's to make the transition to other positions and become impact players. Why not give him a chance at WR 3 for us and sign him for his special teams ability. I hope we're looking at more players like this. Shepard had an expanded pass game role with Vincent Jackson sidelined last year, catching 23 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers are a good landing spot without much behind Kelvin Benjamin. Shepard should still get the majority of his snaps on special teams.
