  1. I know some will miss the point here but here it goes: "I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion."
  2. Some of the things you guys come up with are hilarious! I need the laughs so keep them coming.
  3. I think he knew it was time to leave. His body was not going to hold up over the course of the season. He set himself up for doing something when the time came to leave the game. The time has arrived. Like a lot of us, he doesn't want to admit he's getting old and can't do things the way he use to.
  4. So how does losing a guy that you won't throw to and had "some injury issues"' make the team worse? Any way you spin it they didn't get the production from him. Oh, he's not 100%, oh he has Taylor throwing, or not throwing, to him. Coaches are using him wrong. He may has well have never been on the team at all. The team sucks as much with him as it ever did without him. How was that going to change based solely on Watkins being there for another year?
  5. Has Watkins lead the league in any category they keep for WRs in any year as a Bill? Has he even come close? His time in Buffalo is very over rated by the fans. Time was right for the trade in my opinion. He was't the major player people wanted him to be when he was drafted.
  6. Actually I have had years of practice. I'll let you get back to your soap opera fandom. I'm interested in Bills football on the field, not the fantasy drama queen front office BS. Have fun!
  7. So we can start Patriot report threads and their won't be a problem. Good to know.
  8. You hope a player from some other team makes your team look bad? Nice work at being a Bills fan. You care more about them looking bad than looking good. Is that what you and a lot of other are about?
  9. This is the weakest argument on the board. It's a BUFFALO BILLS message board. Is he a Bill?
  10. So if he looks good the Bills get bashed right? Is that what you're looking for? That's why fans follow ex Bills every play right? More reasons to bash the organization. Great. Good job.
  11. Let's say it happened. They have been looking for a Franchise QB since Jim Kelly and you would trade him? What the hell sense does that make? You get Franchise QB and you would worry about draft picks? I give up.
  12. I don't care what he does with the Rams. Good luck to him. He wasn't doing it for the Bills and they moved on.There are no do overs, he's gone. They are moving on.
  13. How do you know what kind of a move it is for either team? They haven't played a game yet but the results are in?
  14. Well it appears they had all the data they needed. I really don't want to believe that there are people who think the coach and GM didn't know anything about Sammy. They made their decision based on what they know. That's all that matters.
  15. How much was it to pick up the option? They didn't do it. If they wouldn't pay him that what do you think they would pay him? More than the option would have cost? Why would they do that?
  16. They didn't think he was going to be a fit for them or they wouldn't have done it. Bottom line. It's not an indication of tanking. They invested a lot of time in him and apparently did not like the results enough to keep him. Unloaded him before he walked for nothing. People can spin it any way they choose but the bottom line is they didn't think he was a player they wanted to go with.
  17. How much you going to pay him on the franchise tag? Exactly what he's worth in terms of production? How much is that compared to the rest of the league? He's not shown he's top five.
  18. Why didn't they pick up the option? Because they didn't want to gamble on his health anymore. They know more things about him than we do. You're not talking about the best player in terms of production here by any means. That's what people fail to realize. He wasn't going to be the best receiver in the league just because people want him to be.
  19. He wasn't going to resign for what the Bills were going to offer. They got something for him. They didn't want to gamble on him any further. This has been explained more than once, yet the crying continues. This is the best reason I can see for it.
  20. I really believe this has more to do with many of the posts we're seeing, on this board, than anything else.
  21. The writing was on the wall when they failed to pick up the option on Sammy. I said a long time ago that he would not see another contract with the Bills. They were not using him the way you would think they would after giving up what they did to get him in the first place. Then the injury thing happened. I really didn't think his heart was in playing in Buffalo anymore. Since the Bills were not likely to pay him what his agent would ask for, the next move would be free agency. Better to get something for him then to let him go for nothing. The Bills took a shot and it didn't work out for them. Will it work out for Sammy's next team? Who knows? It didn't work out for Buffalo and that's all that matters as far as the trade goes.I'm only concerned with the Bills and their situation, not a former player or his team. Good luck to him and GO BILLS!
  22. Thanks guys. Means a lot. I know Chis needs support to I didn't mean to divert from that. Just that I know what he's going through.
