Trump and Russia

Well then, Barry should have done something about it when he first heard about it.

Correct. But instead he tried something wildly different: instead of stopping Russian meddling in the election, he encouraged them to do more and weaponized both the IC and the media to carry the Russian disinformation to the American public 24/7.

I mean, I've heard of turning into the skid -- but 44 took it to a whole new level.

But if he did anything, it would have led people to believe the election was invalid.  And she wasn't supposed to lose...

265 pages....and I wonder what exactly is in there that I missed.

Did I miss something? All those hours spent....talking about what exactly, as we now know things today?

What a waste of man hours. All this, for literally nothing. Oh, I am certain there's some humor in here....but you're high if you think I'm gonna start at page one of this...monstrosity.

Almost makes me pine for the days of Molson Golden: at least you knew the thread was going to die in 3 or less pages, with a punchline.

It was fun

TDS has gotten worse since Mueller clearly proved there was nothing worth pursuing

Go to the Ukraine thread. That is where the action is gonna be the next few months as Clinton, Obama, Biden, and the deep-staters all run for cover (it is too late for many of them). ?

Dude half of your threads are 265 pages.  And that's just in the OP.

I know this might be difficult for you to swallow but my guess is that no one here gave twoshits regarding your thoughts.

Somewhere in there somebody had my number.  Really put me in my place for once.

But you'll have to find it yourself.

Look who is popping up now to do media rounds (before Barr testifies):

https://mobile.twitter.com/bhweingarten/status/1122521155565424640

Yates is guilty of criminal unmasking and leaking. She was in on the ground floor of the coup ("we can Logan act Flynn, no one will stop us"), and is one of the most fukked people in DC.

Yet she gets multiple segments to spew lies unchallenged on NBC because NBC is the worst of them all.

Yates is beyond screwed. Couldn't happen to a nicer lady.

Are they hoping to win in the court of public approval that #OrangeManBad and so they did their best to "save the country"?  How can these people possibly thing lying and lying and lying some more will save them?

They are trying to "earn" their future legal fees.

I think it's everything 3rd and Tom said along with your comments on Hubris and controlling the narrative. They have no choice but to continue down this path because if they pull back now, they'll be exposing that the rest has been a lie.

This has been the brilliance of the counterintelligence sting, in my mind. It's forced their hands. It's forced them to do exactly what we'd expect (go on a book tour, doubling down in public statements etc etc). It will make them look that much worse when the truth goes mainstream.

Isnt it? Or are the participants grasping at final straws hoping it is not over?

They are in so deep that they have to do anything, try anything, to retain their freedom and livelihood?

It isn't.

This has always been about leveraging public opinion to delegitimize the election results and the opposition presidency.  That hasn't changed; the public statements and talk-show circuits are still part of that operation.

The difference is that their struggle now is not just for power, but for their freedom and livelihood.

But there is a large enough segment of the population that have been conditioned to no longer think for themselves and believe what their overlords want them to believe
