They have some good players but not enough to dominate. Unless injuries or bad officiating happen, the Bills should do much better against the fish. A question for the experts on the board: Last season, when the Bills were racking up double-digit quantities of penalties for 100+ yards per game, the narrative in some places was that officials would be on the lookout for Ryan and his chaotic team and that they would call games a lot more tightly due to a negative reputation. With Rex's "lower-key" approach and the Bills getting called less frequently (relatively speaking), will officials tend to give the Bills the benefit of the doubt on close calls? No, IMO, most penalties were on special teams last year. Those can be attributed to better special teams coaching and getting people not to block in the back. Buffalo had 143 accepted penalties against them last year or about 9 a game for about 78 yards a game. They had a number of preseason injuries to their OL, and this was the first week all of their original starters were healthy.
