The CDC blatantly violates a Trump order regarding Critical Race Theory

by Andrea Widburg

Original Article

At the beginning of September, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget announced that, at President Trump’s direction, all federal agencies would be banned from imposing Critical Race Theory (“CRT”) on their employees.

(snip)

The CDC is going ahead with its plan – paid for with your money – to impose a thirteen-week long CRT training program on its employees.

This an important story because it is a nexus of the issues that brought Trump into the White House in 2016. It’s the story of an out-of-control federal agency that feels that no one  has any authority over it.

Quote

Such self defense may be understandable if the police were engaging in an epidemic of shooting unarmed Black men and women, as we now hear daily — but there is no such epidemic. For the last five years, the police have fatally shot about 1,000 civilians annually, the vast majority of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. Black people account for about 23% of those shot and killed by police; they are about 13% of the U.S. population.

Great interview with Massad Ayoob on how to protect yourself in riots. The number one tip: avoid them.

That’s a pretty amazing interview and sort of reveals the problem with applying common sense to a hostile situation and assuming you’ll be justified in your actions.

Interesting in a rage inducing way is the story  about a guy beset upon by some scumbags breaking his car windows with a baseball bat, and one scumbag (deceased) smashing his window and punching him in the head.  The victim defends himself by shooting the scumbag (deceased) and killing him.  Prosecutors decide to prosecute, jury acquits.  So, the tens of thousands of dollars in defense of his actions, the emotional trauma of being set upon, being threatened with a baseball bat and physically assaulted, and then being branded as the criminal.

I would think most people with a decent heart would assume if you ever were going to shoot someone, probably the time would be when people were brandishing baseball bats and physically assaulting you in your car.

Poof! The Portland Riots Just Stopped. Why?

by Victoria Taft

Original Article

Have Portland’s Professional Protesters™ been smoked out?

Since May 29th, Portland has been the back drop of more than 100 nights of antifa, anarchist and Black Lives Matter, Inc™ terroristic riots. They set fires, looted, and intimidated people by threatening to burn them alive in their homes. But after the millions of dollars of destruction, criminality and thuggery it stopped last week. Poof! Why?

I certainly don’t want to tempt these thugs, but it can’t go without saying that Portland’s 100 plus days of riots appeared to end after Wednesday, September 9th.

From the news that is shocking to no one (except the Minneapolis City Council) department:

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/09/15/with-violent-crime-on-the-rise-in-mpls-city-council-asks-where-are-the-police

”But for much of the two-hour meeting, council members told police Chief Medaria Arradondo that their constituents are seeing and hearing street racing which sometimes results in crashes, brazen daylight carjackings, robberies, assaults and shootings. And they asked Arradondo what the department is doing about it.

"Residents are asking, ‘Where are the police’?” said Jamal Osman, newly elected council member of Ward 6.  He said he's already been inundated with complaints from residents that calls for police aren’t being answered.”

The number of reported violent crimes, like assaults, robberies and homicides are up compared to 2019, according to MPD crime data. More people have been killed in the city in the first nine months of 2020 than were slain in all of last year. Property crimes, like burglaries and auto thefts, are also up. Incidents of arson have increased 55 percent over the total at this point in 2019.”
