funny thing but those "tyrannical orders" saved thousands of lives in many states. the governors that didn't do that are still dealing with spikes in cases currently. you can literally see which states are the worst run in the country (florida, texas), no surprise they are run by right wing nutjobs who have no idea what they are doing.

and fyi if you think staying inside to save lives during the worst viral outbreak in our lifetime is considered "tyrannical" you are a ***** moron.

When you can't buy paint but you can purchase weed or lottery tickets I say that's just a tad tyrannical. As a typical Lefty you're moving the goalposts. Don't you remember the whole purpose of the shutdowns were to flatten the curve and keep the virus under control enough so that our medical facilities could handle it?

If not for the absurd amount of media hype which was generated for the sole purpose of destroying the economy, you, not anyone else, would have noticed anything more than a slightly worse than usual flu season.

look everyone. its almost JULY and these idiots still think this is just "the flu". even when every single top health official, doctor, scientist, medical researcher on the planet has confirmed this is NOTHING like the flu conservatives have successfully been brainwashing themselves into thinking this is all a hoax

I honestly feel sorry for you.

It’s not the flu, but it’s death toll for those catching it is only roughly three times as bad.

Again, a bad flu season.

again, totally wrong

covid by the lowest estimations is roughly six times more deadly, it also has a r0 of nearly 6 which is far more contagious than your average flu season virus. "bad flu season" is literally the dumbest take you can ever have.

Fear porn with more than a few dashes of statistical fraud.

You like being lied to, I get it.

3,281 deaths & 2,249 deaths respectively.  Which stinks; that's about 5,500 more deaths than anyone would like to see.

Would sure hate to see how badly a state with 24,782 deaths must be run.

I can only imagine how you explain facts to people- Erie county which has 1.1 million people has more deaths than all of Central Florida with 5 plus million but I am sure you can explain how my state is the problem. Your Governor blames Trump for not forcing him not to be incompetent. Also your belief does not explain how Sweden is not killing everyone despite no lockdown. If you take all available info right now the right response was to socially distance and wear mask. If an area can not do those then a lockdown is good

The Black Lives Matter Movement is the Enemy of African-Americans

The first thing that I have to say is that I am an African-American man living in the Minneapolis area. I have to state this now; otherwise, I would probably be called a racist.

Most people think Black Lives Matter is a grassroots, black-created, black-run organization dedicated to fighting racism. It most certainly is not.

The Black Lives Matter movement is the creation of a group of a few very wealthy individuals, non-profit corporations, and the corporate media. (Incidentally, 90% of the U.S. media is controlled by only six corporations.) The official Black Lives Matter website, BlackLivesMatter.com, states that Black Lives Matter is a global network foundation that is active in the U.S., the U.K., and Canada. A global network! Who funds Black Lives Matter? It's funded by billionaires George Soros (Open Society Foundation), Rob McKay (Taco Bell heir), the Ford Foundation, the Borealis Philanthropy, the Democracy Alliance, and many others. Not exactly what I would call a black-run grassroots organization. If these facts alone don't cause you to rethink the whole Black Lives Matter thing, then you just aren't paying attention. Check out the links here and here.

Black Lives Matter began in 2013 when the media suddenly started focusing a tremendous amount of attention on what they portrayed as the rise of unjustified, racially motivated killings of African-American men by white police officers. That's the way that the media portrayed it, but the facts say otherwise.

NEO: On supremacies and equality: the Reverend Martin Luther King, 1960.

From a speech Reverend Martin Luther King delivered at DePauw University in September of 1960:

“Black supremacy is as dangerous as white supremacy, and God is not interested merely in the freedom of black men and brown men and yellow men. God is interested in the freedom of the whole human race and the creation of a society where all men will live together as brothers, and all men will respect the dignity and the worth of all human personality.”

It’s enough to make you weep, if you think of the fact that such a statement would now be highly controversial and unlikely to find a home on any college campus.

That is some dark humor there- and the exact idiocy I would have said when I was I college. I certainly hope the school is looking into all of the other highly inappropriate comments made by students on twitter- like hoping that conservatives die from Covid.

Yup. Gallows humor. Someone is trying to cancel Jeselnik over past tweets of his. Jeselnik, as expected, steered directly into the skid.
