Sabres and NHL 2015-16

Scott won the All-Star write in vote, therefore he deserved to be there. There was no fine print that said he had to be in the top 10 in scoring or anything, simply receive the most votes. Kind of like America's Got Talent, the viewers determine the outcome. the winner is the one who receives the most votes...

That being said, that was very entertaining! From the new format, to John Scott freakin stealing the show. I actually recorded the final game, mostly because Scott had made it. Say what you want about Scott not deserving to be there, but I thought he made the game much more enjoyable....

It all ended up well, and I like Scott as a person. I know I come at it as " I hate ASG,s" and his being an all star is just more justification why. Guess my rant is not so much against Scott, but the game and voting method.

The guy has zero hockey skills ( by NHL standards). What if next year a true ass hat is voted in , say someone like Raffi Torres? We still gunna be happy bout that?

They wouldn't be voted in if they were a true asshat. That's the point.

i don't know about that..this whole thing was not some guys getting together and saying "john Scott is a great guy, lets see if we can get him to te all start game" It was more of a " john scott is as far from an all-star as possible, let's fug with the NHL and see if we can embarrass them by having him make the all star team" Kinda laughin at Scott, not with him. Granted, he made the most of it and came off great.

I just want to see what happens next year if same thing happens with someone who plays only 9 games before going to junior, or something similar. Our boy Rory declined when he made it in...

Personally, I think it was a little of both. It's not as compelling if it's some DB instead of a decent.guy.

Rest assured, I think the NHL is squashing the fan vote, so we won't have to worry about it.

2-2: DAN BYLSMA TALKS EICHEL AND THE LIONS ON WGR (18:40)

Bylsma says he likes the 3-2-1 standings point system....which @JeremyWGR has wanted for a looooong time

Bylsma says Lehner will play "a good portion" of the final games

Bylsma: "Look at the last two games for Jack were some of his best playing away from the puck offensively"

Bylsma: "You will continue to see Zemgus (Girgensons) next to Jack (Eichel) for awhile here"

Bylsma says he will find out this morning whether they will have Sam Reinhart for tomorrow night's game

Bylsma says he is a Lions fan. So... may we have mercy on his soul

30 Thoughts http://ow.ly/XQN5c

We’ll empty the remaining All-Star Weekend notes in a few moments, but I wanted to start with the dominant story over the next 24 hours — Dennis Wideman’s disciplinary hearing for knocking down linesman Don Henderson.

This isn’t a Player Safety Issue, so Colin Campbell rules on the suspension, not Stephane Quintal. Since there was no game misconduct on the play, there are no specific guidelines Campbell must follow. He has the power to punish as he sees fit.

The hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET at the NHL’s Toronto offices. There won’t be white-hot public pressure like there was for John Scott’s Nashville inclusion. But, make no mistake, this is a scalding situation behind the scenes.

The kid has ridiculous speed and puck skills. His dexterity is completely off the charts.

Sick puck control, awesome talent, pure goal scorer....

Damn, if the Sabres only could acquire half of that type of offensive talent...Eichel is very good, but he's never going to put up number close to what McDavid will in his career. Maybe this is the year the Sabres get lucky, Auston Matthews would an amazing addition to this team.....they will be in the running...
