This is the contract where QBs get PAID, like Tannehill and Wilson this past year. Tyrod is pretty much at minimum. His agent knows that if Tyrod kills it the next 3 years, he'll only get one more big-time contract. They're trying to squeeze some more money out while they can. This sounds like something TT's agent fed Florio to begin the process of pressuring the Bills to pony up a bit - they're sitting on some excess cap room, just gave out a fat contract to Dareus, and have the lowest-paid starting QB in the league. He had more leverage to just keep playing instead of arguing for a new contract. TT will get his if he earns it. Tyrod's contract gives him all sorts of escalators if he plays more than 50% of the snaps, so he won't exactly be playing for Wilson-style chump change. This wasn't an in depth article, simply a mention that he's low paid (compared to even backups) and that he might be thinking that (or hearing about it).
