The GOP Nomination--The Donald and So Much More!

Disagree. Money is an amplifier of speech, its not speech itself.

Wrong. There are different mediums for speech, and they have different costs associated with them. A television add is a type of speech, just as newspaper print is, as is holding a sign over your head on the State House lawn. The fact that each medium has different associated costs does not make any one of them less valid as protected speech than the others. Nor does the inability of some, many, or even most members of our society to afford using some of those mediums invalidate them; we all have the right to purchase a Lamborghini, even if most of us can't afford one, and someone who can afford one's right to purchase said Lamborghini is not tempered in any way by my relative inability to do so.

Funny how people who are stalwart protectors of free expression and speech get apoplectic when that speech is political.

Does no one see that government mandated limits on individual's political activity or support is a clear violation of the first amendment?

Rasmussen poll: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/immigration/august_2015/voters_want_to_build_a_wall_deport_felon_illegal_immigrants

Looks like Donald has a winning issue

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 70% of Likely Republican Voters agree with the GOP presidential hopeful that the United States should build a wall along the Mexican border to help stop illegal immigration. Seventeen percent (17%) of GOP voters disagree, while 13% are undecided.

Among all likely voters, 51% favor building a wall on the border; 37% disagree, and 12% are not sure.

Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters disagree with the current federal policy that says a child born to an illegal immigrant here is automatically a U.S. citizen.

Does anyone supporting "a wall" have ANY idea what it would it would take to build an effective one?

It's a stunningly ridiculous idea. An invisible force field is more practical.

How about a moat with alligators? We could even set up draw bridges.

Which is why Mexico should not only pay for it, but also build it. Their labor is much cheaper and it's not work Americans want to do. On the other hand, it's probably easier than the Erie Canal. The invisible fence is a good idea. Put that in and hand out dog collars.

If Obama wants Trump to win the GOP nomination he has the power to pull it off. Imagine a week before a primary and Obama starts a public fight with Trump saying he's WAY too right wing. Boom, Trump would climb the polls to nose bleed levels. I sure hope Obama wants to do that

Careful what you wish for. I really believe that Trump can get a lot of Dem votes, particularly from union and other blue collar workers. He will talk their language and no Dem candidate knows shitt about building things.

No, Democrats in a general election won't be afraid to go after Trump on rounding up 11 million people Gestapo like. trump would be beaten in a general election. He would get no where in the Democratic nomination fight. He is a Republican for a reason. Obama, you have the power! Use it!

You mean kinda like how all the Dems are -- BOOM -- running to throw their support to an avowed Socialist?

Dumbass.

Isn't this the GOP thread? You have trouble keeping this straight, huh? Talk about obfuscating

Obfuscating?

I guess that means it's just a moment or two before you start referring to "right-wing circle jerks.'

Predictable as ever, gator. Keep sucking your overlords nuts.
