I can't put a % on that. Obviously the chances are much better if we win. It's a huge game. No question. I just don't label it as a must win. We have different opinions of "must win". I believe we have a good chance to beat the fins, based on how we do vs fins recently. Good chance to beat the browns and jets based on playing at home and talent levels of the teams. If we don't beat the raiders, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. The Green Bay game is the wildcard. Beating a QB like Rodgers is a tough task, but I think our d is up to that task, especially with the 12th man on board. Denver and NE are likely losses....but I give us a chance vs both, because of our defensive line. They're that good and can be the difference. Jmo

Not sure I want Fred to go if he's not ready. Need him Thursday.

I'd say we need Freddy for pass protection more today than Thursday... but that's me.

At this point in the season there is not a player in the NFL who is at 100%. The difference is in playing hurt vs. playing with pain. If Fred is at risk of further injuring himself he should not play; if it's a matter of overcoming pain I have no doubt he'll be in there. Same goes for Sammy.

This is also a good point.

I agree with all of that. With a loss today though they need to win all of those good chance games (Cleveland, Miami) AND the wildcard game (GB). A win today and we should only need to take 2 of those 3. Let's hope that it doesn't matter and they handle their business today!!

Oh, I don't know about that. I'd say that Jordan Gay is feeling right as rain.

My main concern is making the groin worse and missing more time. I hope they know what they're doing this time as opposed to sending him out there with broken ribs to play in a pre-season game...

Agree but this game is SO important. Sammy at 80% is the best WR on the roster. IF he can go this week they need him out there.

Active!!!

Williams is inactive again? Especially with Sammy nursing a groin injury, this is an odd choice to me.

Yeah, I scratch my head at this move. Seems like this week you'd carry an extra WR especially with Goodwin coming back from injury as well. What happens if Sammy aggravates the groin and Goodwin does the same. Neither of these things would surprise me.

We have a kick off specialist that ranks something like 11th in the league in touchback percentage. How much do we really need him active this week?

I think this is a must-win if the Bills have to get to 10 wins. There are a lot of AFC teams in the WC mix right now and many of them will play each other, so it's not clear at all whether 10 wins is actually necessary. But that ought to guarantee a WC slot.

The Bills need to run the next few games to get to 9-3, then beat the Raiders. Or, beat NE at NE, Denver, or Green Bay, all of which are likely SB teams. It could be that one of those teams has home field advantage locked up and won't play their best players, but I would rather not have to beat any of them to get in.

That Houston game will haunt us all spring if we don't get in.
