I'll give it a go...Fisher has been quoted in various media sources saying that DE's are typically not going to contribute much to special teams - I paraphrased that as "not fitting Fisher's idea of what a ST'er should look like....*rummage* can't find the original quote but here's one that I think pretty well summarizes Fisher's viewpoint that Sam was not going to be considered as a ST even though he willingly played ST in preseason. Heeee Haaaaw! I wonder whether Goodell applied any pressure for this to happen. @AdamSchefter: Cowboys plan to bring Michael Sam to Dallas for physical Wed. If all goes well, Sam will be a Cowboy.
