GunnerBill
Lots of talk since the start of camp about how well Da'Norris Searcy had been showing in practice, however, last night I was impressed with what I saw from Duke Williams. He was one of the positives of the night for me... for a second year guy who didn't play a lot of snaps in his rookie year I thought he showed up really nicely last night. Could he win the starting job alongside Aaron Williams?
Doc
Didn't Duke give up a long pass?
Braedenstearns
I don't know. But he sure can give a hit!
DJasper Probincrux III
I don't know. But he sure can give a hit! It was good to see him come up to fill but he really needs to wrap up and not just throw a shoulder into a guy.

H2o
I want to see Williams get his shot with the one's to see how he does in coverage/run support against NFL starters. Last night he was a bright spot after the starters hit the sidelines.

Big C
The Williams boys at safety sure can hit! Would love to give that tandem a shot. Edited August 4, 2014 by Big C

C.Biscuit97
The Williams boys at safety sure can hit! Would love to give that tandem a shot. Â Duke did bring the wood and I loved it. It's kinda silly to celebrate a hit after a 12 yard gain but it's the preseason so who cares. Â I'm very interested in seeing how he progresses this camp. He brings an attitude and I love that. GunnerBill
I didn't see him give up a long pass play... but it was on 1am-4am here in the UK.... I can't promise I didn't miss the odd play with my eyes closed!

Exactly!!! He certainly does dish out some punishment, which is fun to watch, but most of his run support tackles were 5+ yards down field...  The men in front of him need to keep that from happening, and he needs to make those plays closer to the line of scrimmage... I'm sure he would look a lot better running with the ones, as far as run support goes...
Big Gun
If Duke wins out it'll be 4 Williams on starting defense.

KDIGGZ
don't know if I trust Duke yet like I do Searcy. i'm sure Duke will get some playing time here and there and have his shot to show us what he can do, but for week 1 i'd go with Searcy as of now
Hazed and Amuzed
I'm a fan of Searcy, the guy always seems to be around the ball. He seems like a better than average safety who's going to make a handful of big plays in a season. Williams I'm not sure about yet but I like his attitude. Flip Johnson
I don't think Duke is starting but from what I have been hearing (and seeing) he and Meeks can both hit. I love the idea of multiple, physical safeties that we can develop.
