They reportedly explored Toronto sites 18 months ago. It gives even more credence to the concept that there is no chance in hell the NFL is going to approve the sale to a group of owners, with an intent to move the team after the lease is up, which would create a lame duck team for 7-8 years. How much clearer do we need it? 18 months ago the plan was to relocate the team--now it's not (not voluntarily--their hand is being forced). And either way, these investigations took place 18 months ago--as a few folks have said, the landscape has changed. They don't have the option to move the team the way they thought they would, hence they are now looking at WNY sites. Bottom line with this story is that the people that believe the team is moving will still believe it, while those that don't won't. There's no new information here.
