Gee, I wonder why.

But wait, everyone here has it as a great move. They must all be right since they've been saying the same thing every draft.

The "experts" are always funny to me. They parrot one another as if they know exactly how a player will perform in the NFL. Let's just look at the last couple of drafts. I'll leave out Manuel, because he's still very much a TBD. In 2012, they obviously picked Gilmore. The so called experts deemed the pick questionable, a "head scratcher", suggesting the Bills should have instead drafted an OT. That would have left the Bills with either Kevin Zeitler or Riley Reiff. Call me crazy, but Gilmore is the best CB on the team and was since day 1. Experts are wrong. 2011 is a tie because the Bills drafted a position of need and it was the same as the experts suggested with Dareus. 2010, the Bills took CJ Spiller. The experts this time give the Bills an "A" grade for an explosive play maker that can score from anywhere. Never mind that the Bills needed a DE badly and could have taken Jason Pierre-Paul or Derrick Morgan. Both have been very good DE's for their respective teams. Again the experts are wrong. 2009 is sort of a tie. Bills select Eric Wood, who turns out to be a great pick despite negative feedback, but then turn around and take Maybin. There they could have had Robert Ayers instead. End of the day, I guess I could give a squirt what the so called experts think. They gave up a lot for Watkins. Let's just hope it shows on the field.

Lets not forget...These "experts" all all but assuming the Bills pick will be in the top 10 next year whether they say so or not...The general feeling about the Bills among the talking heads is that they are clearly the 4th best team in their own Division...Let alone what they think about them compared to the entire league...I know this because I watch and listen to NFL Network, ESPN, and national sports talk radio constantly...Some of the ways the Bills are written off as nothing is incredible to me, and I've tended to be ultra-critical of this team at times...The assumption that they are the AFC East version of the Jags is especially frustrating considering that they were 3 last-play-of-the-game FG's away from being 9-7 last year...And their starting QB missed 6 games...They were also 3-1 vs the Jets and Miami combined...But these facts are completely unknown, or completely ignored, by most of these "experts." So considering that...They are looking at this trade as one of the worst teams in the NFL giving up a potential top 5 pick, plus a 4th rounder next year to move up 5 spots in this Draft...That's how they are looking at it...And when you look at it that way...well...sure it can be ripped on...

The Bills feel they are WAY closer than any of these "experts." That can be debated all day as well...The only way this trade can be properly graded is with wins and losses...If the Bills make a legit Playoff push starting next year it's going to look like a good deal...If they finish 6-10 again and at the bottom of the AFC East it's going to look dumb...That's all there is to it... B-)

All the NFL analysts hate the Bills so I dont care.

Watkins could have slipped and went to the Bills at #9 and they still would have hated the pick.

CBF

All the NFL Network guys loved the pick

I'll Love it today and maybe hate it next year- why suffer anticipatory suffering, what if a gypsy fortune teller said you'll be sleeping with a super-model but you'll lose her in a year - dude are you going to be miserable with her because you know you lose her in the end or are you going to enjoy it while it lasts - and who knows maybe she gets real fat just before the year ends and you won't miss her that much anyways.

Grading a draft less than 12 hours into it, is the epitome of stupidity.

But the lemmings fall for this crap every year. More power to the brainless talking heads who actually get paid to serve it up for the lemmings to lap up.

GO BILLS!!!

I kind of like the view "At some point you have to start believing in yourself".

With this move - the Bills have done that - which might well be part of the package.......

I tend to agree with the pundits here. I love the player, he is exactly the player that the Bills needed to give Manuel every opportunity to succeed.

i dislike the price. I never like mortgaging the future to that extent. The 1st next year doesn't sit well.

But I trust that Whaley knows what he is doing long term.

When you obtain one of the unquestioned studs in this draft...it's never a bad thing. I think most of the pundits don't feel as good about our roster as a Bills fan does. If we land a starting RT and a rotational DE, it's an A+ draft...
