Greg Cosell: "Glennon is best QB in rookie class and it is not eve

I always thought he was a pro looking QB in college. He just had that look and arm strength. Anyone who goes 20 for 23 (87%) with a 10 yd per pass avg, 2 TDs 0 INT's in an NFL game must have some talent at the position.

Agreed, but I thought the same about Rob Johnson after his one great game before the Bills traded for him. I can't remember the stats but they too were excellent.

you guys wanna talk about these mobile quarterback, Marino had less than a hundred yards rushing for his career. let's see how many of those running quarterbacks won the Superbowl - Doug Williams, and maybe I'll give you a half a point for Steve Young.

I have no clue who Cosell is.

I am nit sure what track record he has with QB or player analysis.

But to the OP, yes him sayin gone bad game could change everything makes him sound like a 'shock' type of guy.

How can you say one guy is by far better, but give the disclaimer of a bad game changing everything.

Honestly he does not sound very credible to me

He also was 17 for 23, 2 TD's and no picks at Seattle recently...7.3 YPA. The talent and aptitude to play the position is obviously there, it's just a question if he can be consistent game to game. He also needs a solid O around him. Kinda' like EJ.

You could argue Ben Rothelisberger and Aaron Rodgers are both really mobile guys. Russel Wilson could win one too

Only half a point for Steve Young? Anyway, I know that some mobile QBs anre successful and some non-mobile QBs are successful. I would like some mobility because you can't depend on your OL all the time and sometimes need to make plays outside the pocket, not saying I would give up the pocket presence, I would want both.

Yep that was my point exactly. He was so strong in his opinion that Glennon was by far the best but then said he could have a bad game so everything could change. That's stupid. Edited by YoloInTheBlo

Well if Greg Cosell says it, it must be true.

7 games. I both love and hate the sports media. IT's amazing how much coverage we get but the overreaction to everything is insane. I'm pretty sure Ryan Leaf started like 4-0 or something. So probably after 7 games, there was a Cosell saying he was better than Peyton.

What I haven't seen anyone mention is that Glennon looks dorky. He could never be the face of a franchise.

I feel bad but I totally agree. He is a goofy mofo. I struggled to ever see him being an elite guy who does commercials. EJ at least looks like he could do an endorsement.

I take all these so called experts with a grain of salt. If they know so much how come they are not coaches or scouts? I could go on the radio or write something that sounds good and say that I am an expert but that doesn't mean I know everything about football. Most of these guys are nothing but phonies or just plain con men who make a living selling snake oil.

I can't figure out if this board is upset that he said his or more upset that what he said is accurate.

Personally, I just thought it was interesting that he said it and was so adamant that it "wasn't close." Oh, but if he has a bad game... then I guess not. To me, that means it is a bit closer than what he is saying.
