He injured his toughness?

Actually, I believe he sustained hurt feelings.

The Jets are legitimately worried about RT, and it couldn't be a better situation for the Bills heading into Week 1. Think Mario won't be drooling with delight?

I think he already is.

Quite frankly I'm concerned about him keeping his fluid levels up for week one.

I'd hate for him to be cramping up in the second half.

A reporter from NC was on Sirius this morning and said the same thing that has been echoed here - Otah has had knee issues and hes "soft". The reporter said there were times in the past that the staff and other players on the team felt that Otah could play, but he kept claiming injury...

When healthy, was this guy even any good?

Being in Carolina I’ve seen him play and would kind of compare him to Mike Williams…lots of natural ability, just hasn’t shown the desire to be great. He could have played through some of his injuries but chose not to. Maybe he would have if the Panthers had a shot at winning but even if that were the case, it really shows his character.

As a Bills fan, I say great move NYJ!! Can’t wait to see Sanchize on his back…over and over and over.

This was a smart move on the Jets part, everyone knows Hunter and Ducasse would have been eaten alive in Week One.

Only problem is Otah might not fare that much better, at least not against the Bills. Mario's speed rush is what most O-Lineman talk about and how quickly they have to react to it...that's not a good sign for someone with bad knees.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that Super Mario prefers to play the left side...that's where the signing of Anderson will end up being absolutely HUGE. We're able to have an upper echelon pass rusher on the line, but still line-up a pass rushing specialist at the other end in a role that will maximize his effectiveness. I really feel we're going to see a lot of production from Anderson this season. Having four legit starters on the line who can put the QB on his back is such an amazing feeling...

If Otah is starting for the Jets then I am more worried then if he is not starting. He is good enough that he will be their best OT if he chooses.

id call that fair from what ive seen (though i might have to qualify it as RT, not just OT as dbrick is pretty good).

the playing through injury stuff... im on both sides of the fence with it. of course i always want a warrior thats going to give 100% but i cant hate a guy if hes genuinely worried about his long term quality of life playing through something. i dont think we can totally trust an nfl team to not bust a guys chops to pressure him into a choice that might hurt him immensely down the line 20 years just because he might be able to tough it out on sunday. without being a doctor, i try not to weigh in too heavily on calling a guy soft for not playing... just not enough access to information.

this guy does seem to have the work ethic issues to go with it, but when hes playing to his potential, hes a bulldozer. could be another jet distraction, could be a good player. i just dont think they are a team that needs to be rolling the dice so often if they know whats good for them.

I'm just sitting here thinking that for the first time in many a year, a division rival is reacting to what the Bills are doing. Maybe my bar is set too low, but I am enjoying the notion and I'm 100% with John from Hemet - it won't make any difference.

I figured it would happen. Too much talk about his knee being garbage. I feel bad for some of these guys when their body just quits.

I agree, that's got to be an awful feeling.
